Adipose tissue remodels via hypertrophy or hyperplasia in response to nutrient status, but the mechanisms governing these expansion modes remain unclear. Here, we identify a nutrient-sensitive epigenetic circuit linking glucose metabolism to chromatin remodeling during adipogenesis. Upon glucose stimulation, α-ketoglutarate (α-KG) accumulates in the nucleus and activates the histone demethylase JMJD1A to remove repressive histone H3 lysine 9 dimethylation (H3K9me2) marks at glycolytic and adipogenic gene loci, including Pparg.

However, overcoming sluggish NORR kinetics under industrial-current operation persists as a critical challenge. Herein, robust oxygen vacancy-enriched heterostructures (O-Co(OH)/Cu) are engineered through in situ electrochemical reconstruction.

Self-control refers to the ability to regulate and control inappropriate behaviors, enabling individuals to suppress immediate reactions that are inconsistent with long-term goals. Previous studies demonstrated a positive correlation between future self-continuity and self-control, yet the neural mechanisms underlying this relationship remain unclear.

Background: Cardiac hypertrophy is a precursor to heart failure and represents a significant global cause of mortality, thereby necessitating timely and effective therapeutic interventions. Zinc finger protein 36 (Zfp36) is recognised as a critical regulator of ferroptosis; however, its role and underlying mechanisms in cardiac hypertrophy remain largely unexplored. This study aims to investigate the regulatory function of Zfp36 in ferroptosis within the context of cardiac hypertrophy.

However, the degradation process inevitably introduces SO and other sulfur-containing anions, these pollutants pose a huge threat to the water and soil environment. Addressing these concerns, this study introduced PMS oxidation into a multi-chamber membrane capacitive deionization (MC-MCDI) device to achieve simultaneous tetracycline (TC) degradation and removal of PMS reaction byproduct ions.

While the loss of the XPC gene was correlated with drug resistance in colon cancer, the expression of XPC and its role in the drug resistance of renal cancer have not yet been elucidated. With the fact that natural small-molecules have been adopted in combinational therapy with classical chemotherapeutic agents to increase the drug sensitivity and reduce adverse effects, the use of herbal compounds to tackle drug-resistance in renal cancer is advocated.

Hyaluronic acid (HA), which is one of the infiltrative therapies for OA treatment, and polynucleotides (PNs), which is a DNA-derived macromolecule favored cell growth and collagen production, are an ongoing debate in clinical effectiveness.
Methods: We plan to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized clinical trial to evaluate efficacy of intra-articular polynucleotides associated with hyaluronic acid versus hyaluronic acid alone in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.
Background: This study aims to investigate the curative effects of total hip arthroplasty (THA) in treating hip bony fusion for young and middle-aged patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS).
Methods: The clinical data of 26 young and middle-aged patients with AS (31 coxae), who were treated with THA and followed-up for more than 3 years in the period between February 1998 and May 2013, were retrospectively analyzed. Among these patients, 22 patients were male (25 coxae) and 4 patients were female (6 coxae).
