Difenoconazole (DFC) is a commonly used triazole fungicide known for its high efficiency and environmental persistence. A thorough understanding of its environmental behavior, particularly sorption in soil, is critical to obtain a comprehensive assessment of the ecological risk of DFC. In this study, three soils with distinct physicochemical properties (brown soil, cinnamon soil, and fluvo-aquic soil) were used to elucidate the adsorption mechanisms of DFC on soil.

With the integration of deep learning algorithms, radiomics has become a transformative tool with increasingly extensive applications across multimodality, particularly in oncological imaging. Recent studies of radiomics and deep learning have demonstrated considerable potential for noninvasive diagnosis and prediction in breast cancer through multimodalities (mammography, ultrasonography, MRI and PET/CT), specifically for predicting axillary lymph node status.

On the other hand, Ailanthone (AIL), a natural plant derivative, has demonstrated diverse pharmacological properties and a capacity to induce cell death among other mechanisms. Consequently, it could be employed to suppress HCC proliferation.

Radiation-induced brain injury (RIBI) is caused by exposure to high doses of ionizing radiation and characterized by severe cognitive dysfunction and brain necrosis. However, the pathogenesis of RIBI is not fully understood, and no effective intervention is available. This work describes a blood-brain barrier (BBB) microphysiological system (MPS), that allowed to explore the responses of BBB and distinct brain cells to radiation exposure.

While tanshinone IIA exhibits ovarian protective effects in aging models, its potential to counteract TOCP-induced ovarian damage and associated signaling mechanisms remains unexplored. This study investigates the therapeutic effects of tanshinone IIA on TOCP-damaged ovaries in mice, with focus on Hippo, AKT, and MAPK pathways.

Identification of novel drug targets is a key component of modern drug discovery. While antimalarial targets are often identified through the mechanism of action studies on phenotypically derived inhibitors, this method tends to be time- and resource-consuming. The discoverable target space is also constrained by existing compound libraries and phenotypic assay conditions.

The impact of micro/nano plastics (MPs/NPs) on human health is a significant area of research. Studies on the effects of maternal exposure to microplastics (MPs) on the fertility in offspring have been conducted, but the damage caused by nanoplastics (NPs) remains ambiguous. In this study, pregnant Kunming mice were exposed to 30 mg/kg/day PS-NPs from 0.

In malaria parasites, discoveries of antimalarial targets have primarily occurred retroactively by investigating the mode of action of compounds found through phenotypic screens. Although this method has yielded many promising candidates, it is time- and resource-consuming and misses targets not captured by existing antimalarial compound libraries and phenotypic assay conditions.

Thyroid cancer, as one of the most common cancers in many countries, has attracted increasing attention, but its pathogenesis is still unclear. This research explored the effects of miR-144-3p and GABRB2 on thyroid cancer cells and the underlying mechanism. Gene expression data was obtained from the GEO database to analyze differential expression of mRNAs and miRNAs in patients with thyroid cancer.

Recent findings have unveiled the reproductive harm caused by polystyrene nanoparticles (PS-NPs) in female animals, yet the intricate mechanism remains incompletely understood. Under this research, we investigated whether sustained exposure to PS-NPs at certain concentrations in vivo can enter oocytes through the zona pellucida or through other routes that affect female reproduction.

However, most existing studies have investigated the determinants of food waste behaviors in a separate behavioral process without considering the potential impacts of different factors in an integrated process. To narrow this gap, a comprehensive action determination model (CADM), which integrates network embeddedness and incentive measures, was constructed to explore the impact of various determinants in different processes on food waste behaviors, using data collected from 913 residents in eastern China via an online survey.

However, the combined toxicity and mechanisms of NPs and TCS remain unclear. In this study, we investigated the toxic effects of polystyrene NPs and TCS and their mechanisms on KGN cells, a human ovarian granulosa cell line.

This study investigates influencing factors in reducing food waste by constructing a conceptual model examining the relationship between network embeddedness (NE) and food waste behaviour (FWB), using questionnaire data from 853 urban residents in eastern China, as well as the moderating role of incentive measures (IMs). We find that NE consists of three dimensions: structural embeddedness, relational embeddedness and functional embeddedness.

In this review, we will focus on target-based approaches, describing recent advances in our understanding of druggable targets in the malaria parasite. Targeting multiple stages of the Plasmodium lifecycle, rather than just the clinically symptomatic asexual blood stage, has become a requirement for new antimalarial medicines, and we link pharmacological data clearly to the parasite stages to which it applies.

Traditional contact-type displacement monitoring inevitably requires the arrangement of measurement points on physical structures and the setting of stable reference systems, which limits the application of dynamic displacement measurement of structures in practice. Computer vision-based structural displacement monitoring has the characteristics of non-contact measurement, simple installation, and relatively low cost.

The widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) largely depends on the acceptance of the public. Previous studies pay more attention to the factors affecting EV adoption from the customer perspective but lack the perspective of the interaction between sellers and customers. Based on a survey of 1,014 respondents in China, this work developed a research model analyzing the effect of interaction on the intention to purchase EVs and using experience value (EPV) as the mediating variable.

CDK8 inhibition up-regulates Interleukin-10 (IL-10) expression by enhancing the transcriptional activity of activator protein-1 (AP-1), and augmenting IL-10 abundance is a viable strategy for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). In this research, through structure-based drug design and dominant fragment hybridization, a series of poly-substituted pyridine derivatives were designed and synthesized as CDK8 inhibitors.

Background And Objectives: The goal of this study was to investigate the mechanism of mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-derived microRNA (miR)-150-5p-expressing exosomes in promoting skin wound healing through activating PI3K/AKT pathway by PTEN.
Methods And Results: Human umbilical cord (HUC)-MSCs were infected with miR-150-5p overexpression and its control lentivirus, and HUC-MSCs-derived exosomes (MSCs-Exos) with stable expression of miR-150-5p were obtained. HaCaT cells were induced by HO to establish a cellular model of skin injury, in which the expression of miR-150-5p and PTEN and the phosphorylation of PI3K and AKT were evaluated.
