Blinatumomab is a bispecific T-cell engager that has recently transformed front-line treatment for many patients with Philadelphia chromosome (Ph)-negative B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). It was originally studied in relapsed/refractory disease, then moved to targeting measurable residual disease (MRD), and has since been shown to improve outcomes for almost every age group when added to consolidation chemotherapy. The evidence supporting blinatumomab is most robust in adult and standard-risk pediatric age groups, but its benefit in adolescents and young adults and high-risk pediatric patients is not yet understood.

Introduction: Adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) is a rare malignancy with poor prognosis, limited treatment options, and high recurrence rates. Surgery and mitotane-based chemotherapy remain the standard of care, and new treatment strategies are needed. Iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) offer promise as theranostic agents due to their modifiability for selective uptake and imaging.

Objective: A revision of the 2017 EULAR-ACR myositis classification criteria, namely EULAR-ACR funded Myositis Revision of Classification (MyoROC) project, is currently underway involving a large international group of experts. In the first phase of this project, we identified additional items to be tested in the criteria.
Methods: We distributed an electronic survey to International Myositis Assessment and Clinical Studies (IMACS) members to identify new items.

Background/aims: Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is conventionally performed in the prone position (PP). Recent studies have shown that the supine position (SP) is an effective alternative, with comparable success rates. We conducted a meta-analysis to directly compare the safety and efficacy of the two ERCP positions.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the responses of prototype diamond detectors under pulsed ultra-high dose rates (UHDR) pencil-beam-scanning (PBS) protons from a compact proton synchrocyclotron (IBA Proteus®ONE) for small-field UHDR dosimetry.
Approach: flashDiamond detectors (fD) were cross-calibrated with their relative proton responses characterized at conventional dose rates (CONV). Then, absolute UHDR dosimetry was performed and small-field response assessed.

Coxsackievirus B (CVB) is implicated as an environmental trigger for type 1 diabetes (T1D). While CVB impairs islet function and viability, its impact on individual primary human islet cell types remains unclear. Here, we use single-cell RNA sequencing and functional studies to show that CVB3 induces distinct cell-type-specific transcriptional and mitochondrial responses in human cadaveric islets.

Targeted drug delivery remains a critical challenge in the treatment of ulcerative colitis, as the side effects of current systemic therapies often outweigh their therapeutic benefits. In this study, we developed a reactive oxygen species (ROS)-responsive nanogel system that releases polymeric chloroquine (PCQ), a macromolecular derivative of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), for localized treatment of ulcerative colitis. The initial nanogel formulation, measuring 183 nm in size with a surface charge of +13 mV, was synthesized via RAFT polymerization using a thioketal dimethacrylate cross-linker to demonstrate ROS-triggered degradation, physicochemical stability in simulated gastrointestinal fluids, favorable biocompatibility, and preferential accumulation in inflamed colonic tissue.

Bone pain related to metastases is common among individuals who develop cancer later in life and can be debilitating. Acetaminophen, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and opioids are typically used to treat this type of pain. However, many patients have comorbidities, allergies, or adverse reactions that limit the use of one or more of these types of medications.

: Speech perception typically takes place against a background of other speech or noise. The present study investigates the effectiveness of segregating speech streams within a competing speech signal, examining whether cues such as pitch, which typically denote a difference in talker, behave in the same way as cues such as speaking rate, which typically do not denote the presence of a new talker. : Native English speakers listened to English target speech within English two-talker babble of a similar or different pitch and/or a similar or different speaking rate to identify whether mismatched properties between target speech and masker babble improve speech segregation.

Introduction: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a leading cause of global cancer-related morbidity and mortality. This study examines the impact of first-time screening colonoscopy on CRC incidence in obese individuals aged 75 and older using a large US retrospective cohort.
Methods: Obese adults aged ≥ 75 were divided into two groups: those undergoing their first screening colonoscopy after 75 (Cases) and those without prior colonoscopy (Controls), using TrinetX database data.

Peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS) has been employed as a therapeutic modality for managing chronic pain across diverse etiologies and neural targets. Nevertheless, its application in treating chronic axial neck pain remains markedly underexplored. Accordingly, this study aimed to both review the existing literature and present a retrospective single-center case series of patients who underwent temporary PNS targeting the cervical medial branch nerves (CMBNs) for chronic axial neck pain.

Understanding electron neutrino interactions is crucial for measurements of neutrino oscillations and searches for new physics in neutrino experiments. We present the first measurement of the flux-averaged ν_{e}+ν[over ¯]_{e} charged-current single charged-pion production cross section on argon using the MicroBooNE detector and data from the NuMI neutrino beam. The total cross section is measured to be [0.

The first search for a heavy neutral spin-1 gauge boson (Z^{'}) with nonuniversal fermion couplings produced via vector boson fusion processes and decaying to tau leptons or W bosons is presented. The analysis is performed using LHC data at sqrt[s]=13 TeV, collected from 2016 to 2018 with the CMS experiment and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb^{-1}. The data are consistent with the standard model predictions.

Carbon nanomaterials (CNMs) have emerged as pivotal components in the evolution of electrochemical sensors (ECSs), owing to their exceptional electrical conductivity, biocompatibility, and versatility across various analytical applications. Recent advancements in nanoengineered thin films of CNMs have yielded robust electrochemical sensing systems with enhanced analytical capabilities. This review article offers a detailed analysis of the use of nano-engineered CNMs thin films, with a particular focus on layer-by-layer assembly, Langmuir-Blodgett, and Langmuir-Schaefer deposition techniques for the development of high-performance ECSs.

Bacteria and fungi use nonribosomal peptide synthetases (NRPSs) to generate secondary metabolites called nonribosomal peptides (NRPs). A common feature of NRPs is the incorporation of D-stereocenter amino acids, which enhance chemical functionality and confer resistance to proteolytic degradation. Typically, these stereochemical inversions arise from dedicated epimerase domains, which are well-characterized.
