Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are a heterogeneous group of tumors, which are usually indolent with metastatic disease at the initial presentation in most clinical situations. Intramedullary spinal cord metastasis (ICSM) is usually rare in the case of neuroendocrine tumors. Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) with Lu-177 DOTATATE has been in use for treatment of metastatic NETs for a long time.

Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy has revolutionized the management of somatostatin receptor-positive metastatic neuroendocrine tumours. Treating nuclear medicine physicians must be aware of the radiation hazards posed by radioactive contamination and the imaging fallacies attributable to radioactive contamination on posttherapy planar imaging. The image fallacies, if not properly looked upon, upstage the disease.

Background And Objectives: Secondary Prevention by Structured Semi-Interactive Stroke Prevention Package in India (SPRINT INDIA) trial was a randomized control trial that enrolled 4298 stroke patients and administered educational interventions at 31 centers across India, with the aim to reduce recurrent stroke through increased stroke knowledge. This SPRINT INDIA trial post hoc study aims to investigate the incidence of recurrent stroke, high-risk transient ischemic attack (TIA), acute coronary syndrome (ACS), death, and lifestyle behavioral factors at 1 year. In addition, it examines the relationship between patients' baseline characteristics and education levels, risk factors, and outcomes and performs subgroup analysis within the intervention and control groups.

Objectives: In this study, we investigate the effects of dietary supplementation with standardized aqueous extracts of shatavari (, Ar), ashwagandha (, Ws), or their combination on menopausal symptoms, vascular dysfunction, bone turnover, and serum concentrations of inflammatory and oxidative stress markers in postmenopausal women.
Methods: Postmenopausal women aged 40-55 were enrolled in a double-blind randomized study to receive one of six treatments: placebo, Ar 250 mg/500 mg, Ws 250 mg/500 mg, or 500 mg extract combining Ar 250 mg and Ws 250 mg. Primary outcomes were changes in the menopause-specific quality of life (MENQOL) questionnaire, bone mineral density/bone turnover markers (BTMs), and reflection index (RI) after 24 weeks.

Background And Objectives: Regional differences in stroke prevalence and outcomes in India, driven by demographic and risk factors, are crucial for guiding effective prevention and management strategies. This subanalysis of Secondary prevention with a structured semi-interactive stroke prevention package in INDIA (SPRINT INDIA) randomized controlled trial compared the demographics, risk factors, and clinical outcomes of stroke patients from North and South India to identify regional differences and inform targeted interventions for stroke prevention.
Methods: The study analyzed data of 4298 participants from 31 stroke centers across India, focusing on demographics, stroke types, and risk factors.

Climate change poses an enormous threat to human health. It increases exposure to risk factors related to cancer while simultaneously threatening effective cancer care in the face of overstrained resources and natural hazards. Low and middle income countries (LMICs) are disproportionately affected by the effects of climate change which further limits their ability to respond effectively to this growing threat.

Tardy ulnar nerve palsy (TUNP) is a progressive neuropathy commonly associated with cubitus valgus deformity following lateral humeral condyle nonunion. However, concurrent ulnar nerve schwannoma as a contributing factor remains undocumented. We present a rare case in which both chronic traction neuropathy and intraneural compression coexisted, with the schwannoma remaining undetected on high-resolution ultrasound (HRUS) preoperatively.

Centriolar satellites are membrane-less granules that are now accepted as core structural and functional components of the centrosomes and the cilia. While initially associated with centrosome assembly and primary cilia formation, these complexes and their dynamic structures seem to be involved in various other cellular processes, including protein homeostasis, autophagy, and responses to cellular stress. Since the identification of the first centriolar satellite protein, PCM1, substantial progress has been made in understanding the molecular composition and biological functions of centriolar satellites.

Objectives: Effective sedation and analgesia during procedures not only provide relief of suffering but also frequently facilitate the successful and timely completion of the procedure. The aim of the study was to evaluate the efficacy of fentanyl and dexmedetomidine compared to fentanyl and midazolam in procedural sedation for tube thoracostomy in the emergency department (ED) in terms of analgesia and patient satisfaction with sedation during the procedure using Pain Numerical Rating Scale and a 7-point Likert-like verbal rating scale for comfort rating of sedation.
Methods: A randomized control study was conducted in 64 subjects admitted to the ED.

Introduction: Stroke causes significant death and disability, with urban-rural disparities in healthcare and limited studies in India, despite its rural majority of 70%. The post hoc study aimed to explore differences in stroke profiles, risk factors, and outcomes between urban and rural participants using data from the Secondary Prevention by Structured Semi-Interactive Stroke Prevention Package in India (SPRINT INDIA) trial.
Methods: The SPRINT INDIA trial was a multi-center randomized clinical trial across 31 Indian sites.

Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is a major global public health problem, contributing to high mortality and morbidity. There is significant variability in OHCA incidence and survival rates across different countries and communities and in various geographical locations, even within the same country. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) knowledge and skills are critical to achieving better survival outcomes during OHCA.

18 F-FDG PET/CT, the workhorse of oncological imaging has changed the diagnostic and management paradigm in cases of fever and inflammation of unknown origin, with diagnostic superiority over the conventional imaging modalities. Various complications like acute and chronic graft pyelonephritis, acute rejection, infections, and surgery-related complications can occur post-renal transplantation. The authors in the present study demonstrate coexisting graft pyelonephritis, prostatitis, epididymo-orchitis, and funiculitis on 18 F-FDG PET/CT in a patient, post renal transplant with clinical presentation as pyrexia of unknown origin.
