The relatively complex functional anatomy of the mediobasal temporal region makes surgical approaches to this area challenging. Several studies describe various surgical approaches, along with their combinations and modifications, to reach lesions of this region. Some of these surgical approaches have been compared using artificial intelligence-based approaches that can be predicted, classified, and analyzed for complex data.

Background: It is clear that nursing practice is directly affected by artificial intelligence (AI), and in this regard, a need is felt for more information on the knowledge and attitudes of nurses to the use of AI technology in nursing care practice. However, no inclusive measurement instrument tested for validity and reliability evaluating the attitudes of nurses to the use of AI technology was found. The aim of this research was to develop and test the validity of the Attitude Scale Towards the Use of Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Nursing (ASUAITIN) in the Turkish language.

ChatGPT has the ability to generate human-like text, analyze and understand medical images using natural Language processing (NLP) algorithms. It can generate real-time diagnosis and recognize patterns and learn from previous cases to improve accuracy by combining patient history, symptoms, and image characteristics. It has been used recently for learning about maxillofacial diseases, writing and translating radiology reports, and identifying anatomical landmarks, among other things.

Objective: Mitochondria transfer from human Wharton's Jelly-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hWJ-MSCs-mt) and human endometrium-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hE-MSCs-mt), along with curcumin, were explored as potential treatments for age-related macular degeneration (AMD) caused by mitochondrial inefficiency, using a retinal model to assess impacts of curcumin and hWJ-MSCs-mt or hE-MSCs-mt on AMD.
Methods: ARPE-19 cells established an in vitro AMD model. Cells were exposed to 0-50 μM curcumin for 24 hours to determine optimal concentration by assessing their viability.

This paper addresses the challenging task of itinerary recommendation for tourists and proposes an approach for suggesting efficient optimal itineraries in Istanbul, based on constraints. The paper presents an enhanced version of the genetic algorithm (GA), which aims to optimize the itineraries considering various constraints and preferences of the tourists. The improvement of the GA involved suggesting a customized fitness function tailored to address the complexities of the tourism problem, considering factors such as distance, time, cost, tourists' budget, and their desired activities and attractions.

Introduction: Previous studies have shown that isolated eyelid myokymia (EM) is usually caused by stress, fatigue, and caffeine consumption. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the association between EM and digital screen time, uncorrected refractive error, intraocular pressure (IOP), and blood electrolyte levels.
Methods: Between February 2023 and June 2024, 103 eyes of 103 patients who applied to the ophthalmology outpatient clinic with complaints of eyelid twitching lasting for more than two weeks and 103 eyes of 103 healthy individuals as a control group were included in the study.

In this study, a new amperometric biosensor was developed for glucose determination. For this purpose, polyaniline-polypyrrole-poly(sodium-4-styrenesulfonate) film was prepared by electropolymerization of aniline and pyrrole with poly(sodium-4-styrenesulfonate) on a platinum plate. The best working conditions of the polyaniline-polypyrrole-poly(sodium-4-styrenesulfonate) film were determined.

Although the MAGGIC risk score has emerged as a valuable tool in predicting outcomes in patients with chronic heart failure, it has also been demonstrated and identified as a prognostic model in various cardiac diseases other than heart failure. In this study, we aimed to investigate the relationship between MAGGIC score and adverse outcomes in patients with PE.

Introduction: Prostate cancer has emerged as a widespread health concern, with systemic inflammation believed to substantially contribute to its development and progression. The presence of systemic inflammatory responses has been established as an independent predictor of unfavorable long-term outcomes in prostate cancer patients. The goal of this study is to inhibit RXRα and RXRβ receptors, which are involved in prostate cancer, with Luteolin, Formononetin, and Kaempferol, with varying success.

Objectives: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of osteopathic visceral manipulation (OVM) combined with physical therapy in pain, depression, and functional impairment in patients with chronic mechanical low back pain (LBP).
Patients And Methods: A total of 118 patients with chronic mechanical LBP were assessed, and 86 who met the inclusion criteria were included in the randomized-controlled study between January 2021 and August 2022. The patients were randomized to either Group 1 (n=43), which underwent physical therapy (5 days/week, for a total of 15 sessions) combined with OVM (2 days/week with three-day intervals), or Group 2 (n=43), which underwent physical therapy (5 days/week, for a total of 15 sessions) combined with sham OVM (2 days/week with three-day intervals).

Introduction Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic and autoimmune disease that has a significant influence on the central nervous system, such as the brain and spinal cord, affecting millions of individuals globally. Understanding the connection between subcortical brain regions and MS is crucial for effective diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for treating this disabling disease. This study explores the relationship between volume and contours of asymmetry index of subcortical brain regions in individuals with MS using volBrain software (https://www.

Purpose: To investigate the association of pre-photorefractive keratectomy Schirmer-1 test value with post-photorefractive keratectomy central corneal epithelial thickness, ocular surface disease index score, and uncorrected distance visual acuity.
Methods: Patients were categorized according to preoperative Schirmer-1 value: the normal Schirmer Group (n=54; Schirmer-1 test value, >10 mm) and the low Schirmer Group (n=52; Schirmer-1 test value, between 6 and 10 mm). We analyzed ablation depth, visual acuity, result of Schirmer-1 test (with anesthesia), tear film break-up time, ocular surface disease index score, central corneal epithelial thickness, and spherical equivalent refraction.

Background: The mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) with characterized by their multipotency and capacity to differentiate into various tissue cell types, have led to their incorporation in regenerative medicine research. However, the limited numbers of MSCs in the human body and their diverse differentiation capabilities in tissues highlight the need for exploring alternative regenerative cell sources. In this study, therefore, we conducted molecular level examinations to determine whether pericytes, specialized cell communities situated near blood vessels, could serve as a substitute for human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hBM-MSCs).
