Once neglected, the debate on antifungal drug resistance has increased due to the emergence of antifungal resistant strains. Several factors are associated with the increase in resistance rates, and the use of fungicides in agricultural practice is probably an important cause. This review aimed to summarize studies performed with fungicides, which could show the correlation between the use of these agrochemicals and the development of cross-resistance to clinical antifungals in human/animal pathogenic fungi.

Exploring the role of the pattern recognition receptor Dectin-1 in neurological diseases emerges as an important target for understanding the biochemical and physiological dynamics of neuropathologies. From this perspective, Dectin-1, protein encoded by the CLEC7A gene, stands out for its important role in antifungal immunity; however, the receptor also proves crucial in enabling the immune response of the central nervous system (CNS). This review highlights how Dectin-1 interacts with microglial cells, as well as the implications of these interactions in inflammatory, neurodegenerative, and psychiatric processes.

The study aims to analyze the chemical constituents of Xuefu Zhuyu Wan (XZW) based on LC-MS and explore the mechanism of XZW in treating postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) through network pharmacology and identify its potential quality marker (Q-marker). The chemical components of XZW were analyzed by LC-MS, and the corresponding targets were predicted by SwissTargetPrediction. Then POCD targets were obtained by GeneCards, OMIM, PharmGKB, and TTD database, and the "components-targets" and protein-protein interaction (PPI) maps were drawn by Cytoscape 3.

Methods: Conducted in Brazil (January 2021-March 2022), this follow-up study included 18 SARS-CoV-2 positive pregnant women at 35-37 weeks' gestation, 15 umbilical cord blood samples, and blood samples from 15 children at 6 months and 14 at 24 months.

From January 2021 to March 2022, we studied antibody transfer and persistence in infants of SARS-CoV-2-infected or vaccinated pregnant women in Brazil. Third-trimester vaccination increased maternal anti-S immunoglobulin G, correlating with cord and infant levels at 6 months. Neutralizing antibody were detected only in vaccinated mothers and cord blood, persisting in only 2 infants at 6 months.
