Breast cancer is a heterogeneous disease in which estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), and Ki-67 play crucial roles in molecular subtyping, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis, showing positivity in nearly 90% of cases. The vitamin D receptor (VDR) has been implicated in the oncogenesis and prognosis of various tumors, but its relationship with molecular subtyping factors in breast carcinomas remains to be clarified. This retrospective cross-sectional study included 111 patients who underwent surgery for breast carcinoma.

Ga--prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-11 positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) is currently routinely used for the evaluation of prostate cancer. However, due to its whole-body imaging capability, it can incidentally identify pathologies beyond prostate cancer. Herein, we describe a case of a 67-year-old man who was recently diagnosed with prostate carcinoma (PCa).

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to see if F-FDG PET/CT parameters can help distinguish between invasive mucinous lung adenocarcinoma (IMA) and lepidic predominant lung adenocarcinoma (LPA), as well as compare features between survivors and non-survivors.
  • Researchers categorized tumors based on CT appearance into nodular and mass/pneumonic types, analyzing characteristics and PET/CT findings across both cancer types.
  • Results showed that IMAs had larger sizes and more advanced stages compared to LPAs, but SUV values were not helpful for differentiation; however, higher SUV values were found in non-survivors, indicating potential for prognosis predictions.
