Article Abstract
Using data from three interrelated studies of Korean adolescents in South Korea ( = 524; = 14.98), China ( = 267; = 15.24), and the United States ( = 408; = 14.76), this study tested the psychometric properties and measurement invariance of multiple measures of family process, including those originally developed for subgroups of Asian Americans and commonly used Western measures. The results showed excellent psychometric properties of the scales in each group and supported metric and scalar invariances, at least partial for some, of the examined measures, providing cross-culturally comparable instruments for diverse Korean communities across the United States and majority countries. The findings also showed nuanced cultural variations despite similar conceptualizations of the constructs across groups. The study compared the means of the family process measures and examined the associations among these measures and with youth adjustments. The results from these urban samples in three different sociopolitical and economic contexts may reflect a complex interplay of culture and minority status in shaping the family process and its impact on youth development, illustrating how the modern Korean family process is flexible and responsive to local contexts. The findings of this study present useful instruments and warrant additional research on the antecedents, mechanisms, and implications of the family process to maximize youth potential in respective contexts. X-linked hypophosphatemia (XLH) is a rare and progressive disease, due to inactivating mutations in the phosphate-regulating endopeptidase homolog X-linked (PHEX) gene. These pathogenic variants result in elevated circulating levels of fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23), responsible for the main clinical manifestations of XLH, such as hypophosphatemia, skeletal deformities, and mineralization defects. Background: Direct admission can help reduce emergency department crowding, improve patient satisfaction, and decrease costs, yet there is opportunity to improve standardized processes to do so safely and efficiently. We designed and implemented a new process for urgent direct admission (UDA) at our children's hospital with the SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound) aim to increase the number of UDAs between transfer to an intensive care unit (ICU) within 12 hours from direct admission by 50% in 12 months.
Methods: We compared unanticipated ICU transfers within 12 hours of admission (outcome) before and after implementing a standardized UDA process.

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a heterogeneous kidney malignancy driven by complex genetic, molecular, and metabolic alterations. Emerging evidence implicates centrosome dysfunction and autophagy dysregulation in RCC initiation, progression, and resistance to therapy. The centrosome plays a critical role in mitotic fidelity, and its dysfunction often leads to chromosomal and genomic instability.

Introduction/objectives: The purpose of this descriptive study was to strengthen understanding of the human-animal bond and the impact of One Health Clinics (OHCs) on the communities they serve. We aimed to assess how joint access to veterinary care and human health services enables community members to engage with healthcare for themselves.
Methods: Individuals attending 2 OHCs in the United States were surveyed to gain insight into reasons for attending OHCs, attitudes on the human-animal bond, healthcare access and utilization, and pet owner satisfaction and trust toward medical and veterinary professionals.
