Background: The impact of sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) on atrial tachyarrhythmia (ATa) recurrence in patients undergoing cryoballoon ablation is not well understood.
Methods: To evaluate the impact of SGLT2i on Ata recurrence in atrial fibrillation (AF) patients with and without diabetes, we conducted a prospective observational cohort study at a tertiary care hospital in China. A total of 582 adult patients who underwent cryoballoon ablation were included.

Background: We aimed to evaluate the impact of routine preprocedural left atrial and coronary computed tomography angiography (CTA) on procedural strategies and clinical outcomes in patients undergoing cryoballoon pulmonary vein isolation (PVI).
Methods: In this prospective, propensity score-matched study, we analyzed patients who underwent cryoballoon PVI at our institution between January 2019 and March 2023. Patients were assigned to either a CTA group, where preprocedural CTA was performed, or a control group, where PVI was guided by fluoroscopy alone.

Introduction: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a prevalent cardiac arrhythmia. Pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) is a cornerstone for catheter ablation for AF. Most recently, pulsed-field ablation (PFA) has emerged as a novel technique that minimizes tissue damage due to its tissue selectivity with promising clinical success.

Pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) via cryoballoon ablation (CBA) is a recommended therapeutic strategy for patients with symptomatic paroxysmal and persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) who are refractory to antiarrhythmic drugs. Although PVI has demonstrated efficacy in reducing AF recurrence and improving patients' quality of life, its impact on respiratory function is not well understood, particularly in patients with comorbid conditions. The aim of the study was to search for functional predictors of the respiratory system in the process of evaluating the efficiency of clinical assessment of CBA in patients with AF.
