We present a direct measurement of the nanoscale dynamics of plasma mirrors using wavefront measurement techniques. This two-dimensional measurement, performed via pump-probe diagnostics, enables the reconstruction of the three-dimensional plasma mirror surface with nanometer axial, micrometer transverse, and femtosecond temporal resolution.

Ionic liquids (ILs) have been gaining increasing focus in a variety of applications including emerging electric-propulsion concepts. A quantitative understanding of how IL ions fragment during high-energy collisions with background gases is therefore essential for interpreting mass spectra, predicting ion lifetimes in plasma and vacuum environments, and designing IL-based technologies. This work uses molecular dynamics (MD) simulations with a reactive force field to numerically model the collision-induced dissociation (CID) of isolated ions (both positive and negative) and ion clusters (2:1 and 1:2 clusters) of the prototypical ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (EMIM-BF), colliding with a nitrogen (N) molecule, exploring all possible fragmentation channels arising from the breaking of both ionic and covalent bonds at collision energies ranging from 10 electron volts (eV) to 100 electron volts (eV) in the laboratory frame.

Rotator cuff tendinopathy is a common cause of shoulder pain and dysfunction, presenting in two primary forms: calcific and non-calcific. These subtypes differ significantly in their pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and natural history, necessitating tailored diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. This review delineates the clinical presentations of calcific rotator cuff tendinopathy (RCCT), characterized by distinct pre-calcific, calcific, and post-calcific stages, and contrasts them with the more insidious, degenerative course of non-calcific rotator cuff tendinopathy.

NSG-SGM3 humanized mouse models are well-suited for studying human immune physiology but are technically challenging and expensive. We previously characterized a simplified NSG-SGM3 mouse, engrafted with human donor CD34 hematopoietic stem cells without receiving prior bone marrow ablation or human secondary lymphoid tissue implantation, that still retains human mast cell- and basophil-dependent passive anaphylaxis responses. Its capacities for human antibody production and human B cell maturation, however, remain unknown.
