Article Abstract

Sticky bone is a new type of composite biological material in the field of dental implantation and restoration in recent years, which is usually composed of Autologous Fibrin Glue (AFG) or injectable-platelet rich fibrin (i-PRF) is prepared in combination with different types of bone augmentation materials, such as granular or powdered bone substitutes, providing a solution for bone regeneration that integrates growth factor release with bone scaffold functionality. Its unique gel texture ensures precise adhesion at the site of bone defects and does not fall apart due to external forces. This property not only enhances the stability of the bone graft, but also accelerates the regeneration and healing of bone tissue by providing an ideal environment for cell attachment and proliferation. In addition, the bioactivity and plasticity of sticky bone allow it to demonstrate higher adaptability and surgical success when compared to conventional bone grafting methods. Its development potential in bone tissue engineering also opens up new directions for future clinical applications. Overall, sticky bone is becoming a key material for promoting bone regeneration and improving implant success due to its sticky bone, scaffolding function and ability to carry bioactive components. In this paper aims to review the composition, preparation methods, mechanisms of action, and specific applications of sticky bone in oral implantation and related fields.

This study evaluated the bone regeneration effect and mechanical properties of "Sticky bone", a mixture of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) and synthetic bone grafts (SBGs), in the repair of large femoral bone defects in rabbits. Eighteen New Zealand white rabbits were included and randomly divided into a Sticky bone group and an SBG alone group. Bone graft samples were collected and analyzed at 4, 8, and 12 weeks after surgery.

Purpose: To assess facial soft tissue levels and buccal bone thickness following immediate implant placement in compromised maxillary anterior sockets using marginal preservation technique.

Materials And Methods: A total of 49 patients with failing maxillary anterior teeth were assigned to single immediate implant placement using appropriately sized implants, combined with absorbable collagen matrix membrane and sticky demineralized freeze-dried bone allograft grafting. Definitive crown placement occurred 6 months after provisionalization.

Objective: This study aimed to compare the efficacy of Sticky Tooth (ST) derived from ground teeth and Sticky Bone (SB) based on equine bone and human allograft in maxillary bone defect regeneration through histological examination.

Materials And Methods: Forty patients underwent maxillary alveolar ridge regeneration using four different biomaterials: Sticky Tooth processed with the BonMaker device ( = 10), Sticky Tooth prepared with the Smart Dentin Grinder ( = 10) Sticky Bone derived from an equine xenograft ( = 10), and Sticky Bone derived from human allografts ( = 10). CBCT imaging was performed preoperatively, post-regeneration, and during follow-up.

Objectives: Deproteinized bovine bone minerals (DBBMs) are effective for bone regeneration. However, their limited plasticity can hinder extensive bone defects treatment. This study aimed to develop a composite bone grafting material that is easy to deploy surgically and promotes robust bone regeneration.
