The domestic and international research status was reviewed, analyzing the explosion characteristics of inert powders, active powders, and composite powder explosion suppressants from the perspectives of maximum explosion pressure and flame propagation properties. The explosion suppression mechanisms of powder suppressants were also summarized. Analysis found that the inert powder is mainly from the physical aspects of heat absorption, oxygen dilution, and the formation of physical barriers to inhibit gas explosions; the active powder is mainly from the chemical aspects of the capture of free radicals to interrupt the explosion chain reaction inhibition of gas explosions; the composite powder is through the physical-chemical aspects of synergistic inhibition of gas explosions. Based on this, the directions for resolving urgent issues and the future research focus for powder explosion suppressants should not only involve the development of novel, green, and economical powders, but also actively advance towards conditions that more closely align with actual mine environments─such as multi-field coupling scenarios. Furthermore, the application of new technologies and intelligent systems should be emphasized to provide theoretical guidance for enhancing safety in coal mine production.

Atherosclerosis (AS) is a chronic inflammatory disease driven by endothelial dysfunction, vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation, and insufficient resolution of inflammation. Nitric oxide (NO) plays a crucial role in vascular homeostasis by promoting endothelial cell proliferation, maintaining endothelial integrity, suppressing smooth muscle cell hyperplasia, and exerting potent anti-inflammatory effects. However, clinical application of NO is hindered by its short half-life, lack of targeting, and uncontrolled release.

The research was conducted by optimizing the hesperidin extraction process from citrus peel powder, followed by characterization and nutrition profiling of citrus peel hesperidin extract. Citrus peel was collected from the local market and dried in a hot air oven.

Estuarine plumes (EPs) are recognized as critical drivers of dissolved organic matter (DOM) heterogeneity in coastal zones, primarily by inducing phytoplankton blooms and subsequent bottom-water dissolved oxygen (DO) depletion. However, the specific mechanisms governing the EP-driven transformations of DOM molecular composition and biogeochemical fate remain elusive. Here, we integrated optical spectroscopy and Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry to characterize the molecular signatures of DOM and their biogeochemical transformations within EP-influenced bottom waters of the Pearl River Estuary.

Hypothesis: Gas hydrate formation in sediments is influenced by the availability of gas-water interfacial areas, which governs gas-water interactions. The surface wettability of sediment particles is expected to affect the spatial distribution of water within the pore space, thereby altering the extent of gas-liquid contact. Consequently, by tuning the wettability heterogeneity of the sediment, the spatial distribution of pore water can be regulated, which in turn influences the gas-water interactions and the kinetics of gas hydrate formation.
