An ultra-high-order QAM quantum noise stream cipher (QNSC) scheme assisted by intensity and phase chaotic encryption is proposed. In this scheme, the legal transmitter (Alice) first encrypts the original low-order QAM signal into an ultra-high-order QAM signal according to the pre-shared seed key based on the Y-00 protocol, and then conceals the intensity and phase information of the ultra-high-order QAM signal through the intensity and phase chaos generated from a nonlinear delay chaotic source for enhancing the security. The intensity and phase chaotic carrier can be eliminated by the open-loop chaotic synchronization module at the legal receiver (Bob). The scheme was numerically verified in 112 Gbit/s (28 GBaud 16QAM plaintext) and 168 Gbit/s (28 GBaud 64QAM plaintext) 65536QAM/QNSC systems, which can achieve 600 km and 150 km transmission at 7% HD-FEC threshold, and 1000 km and 350 km transmission at 20% SD-FEC threshold, respectively. Meanwhile, the number of masked signals (NMS) and the detection failure probability (DFP) in the scheme are obviously higher than in the original QAM/QNSC system. We believe that the proposed scheme is a promising strategy for enhancing the security of QAM/QNSC transmission systems.

This study explores the computational isolation of prostaglandin (PG) isomers, specifically PG E (PGE) and D (PGD), to enhance method development efficiency and provide insights into their retention behavior during supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) combined with supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC)-tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS). Although PGE and PGD are positional isomers that yield identical product ions in MS/MS, they serve distinct biological roles. This research illustrates the efficacy of selected reaction monitoring (SRM)-based techniques for differentiating coeluting isomers.

The 2022/2023 season witnessed a rapid resurgence of H1N1pdm09 in Anhui Province, China, surpassing previous years, prompting an examination of hemagglutinin (HA) gene mutations and cross-immunity in this study. Anhui Province's surveillance data established the detection threshold for H1N1pdm09 using the Moving Epidemic Method. Joinpoint regression compared weekly percent change (WPC) rates.

Cocaine use disorder (CUD) is characterized by cortico-striatal circuit dysregulation and high relapse rates, with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) emerging as a potential neuromodulatory intervention. This study investigates rTMS-induced dynamic brain network reconfigurations in 30 CUD patients using longitudinal resting-state fMRI from the SUDMEX-TMS cohort. Applying Leading Eigenvector Dynamics Analysis (LEiDA) to phase-locking states, we identified four metastable network configurations mapped to canonical resting-state networks.

Purpose: Little is known about transgender and gender expansive (TGE) adolescents' and young adults' (AYAs') pain and psychosocial experiences in the acute postsurgical period following gender-affirming surgery (GAS). This study describes pain symptomatology and psychosocial functioning within 1 month after GAS among TGE AYAs, examines immediate postsurgical associations of cannabis use with pain symptomatology, pain catastrophizing, and psychosocial functioning, and explores pain persistence, cannabis use, and psychosocial functioning in a subgroup of individuals 6 months after surgery.
Methods: AYAs ( = 64) underwent GAS at a large academic medical center in the Pacific Northwest between March 2019 and June 2023.

Unlabelled: The wild yeast (parental of the lager brewing hybrid yeast) has been intensively studied for brewing applications since its discovery in Patagonia (Argentina), and then in other parts of the world. In this work, cultures of this non-conventional yeast in different physiological conditions were tested in terms of viability and vitality, to understand its behavior and provide tools for biomass quality assessment for brewing. Four dyes were analyzed, and alkaline methylene violet turned out to be the most accurate for viability measurements.
