The additive manufacturing of micro-supercapacitors (MSCs) with outstanding areal energy density and scalable integration remains challenging due to the incompatibility between printability and functionality of electronic ink. Here, a thixotropic MXene/conductive cellulose heteroink is formulated, eliminating the need for tedious processing and toxic organic additives, to construct MSCs with high areal energy density. Conductive cellulose with radially graded structure containing defect-rich graphitic shells not only inhibits MXene re-stacking through hydrogen-bonded 3D porous networks, but also establishes sp-carbon pathways for rapid electron transport. The optimized 3D printed MSCs achieve record-breaking metrics: high areal capacitance of 3.12 F cm (1 mA cm), outstanding energy density of 1.25 mWh cm, and 95% capacitance retention after 10 000 bending cycles. Notably, the 3D printed MSCs can operate stably within a temperature range of -40 to 60 °C. In addition, an integrated flexible sensing system incorporating 3D printed MSCs and strain sensors is demonstrated, which is highly sensitive for real-time motion monitoring. This work establishes a materials-by-design paradigm for customizable micro-energy systems, advancing wearable and implantable electronics.

The challenge of photocatalytic hydrogen production has motivated a targeted search for MXenes as a promising class of materials for this transformation because of their high mobility and high light absorption. High-throughput screening has been widely used to discover new materials, but the relatively high cost limits the chemical space for searching MXenes. We developed a deep-learning-enabled high-throughput screening approach that identified 14 stable candidates with suitable band alignment for water splitting from 23 857 MXenes.

The strong C-F bond found in per- and poly-fluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) makes them resistant to degradation and thus persistent in the environment. One of the most common methods for quantifying PFAS in environmental matrices is to use tandem mass spectrometry. However, the dissociation of ions made by deprotonating PFAS alcohols and acids has only been qualitatively explored.

Background: Sjögren's syndrome (SS) is a chronic autoimmune disease delineated by excessive lymphocyte infiltration to the lacrimal or salivary glands, leading to dry eye and dry mouth. Exosomes secreted from mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) are known to have anti-inflammatory and tissue regeneration abilities. This study endeavored to demonstrate the effect of MSC-derived exosomes on the clinical parameter of dry eyes and associated pathology in SS mouse model.

A cost-effective and large-scale method for synthesizing ZnCoO nanoflowers with surface oxygen vacancies as electrode materials for supercapacitors is presented. The existence of oxygen vacancies on the surface of the ZnCoO nanoflowers has been confirmed through X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The energy bands and density of states (DOS) of ZnCoO are examined using density functional theory, revealing that treatment with NaBH reduces the band gap of ZnCoO while increasing the DOS near the Fermi level compared to pristine ZnCoO.

To evaluated the efficacy of photodynamic therapy (PDT) in improving laryngeal mucosal wound scar healing in vivo and investigated its underlying mechanisms. Laryngeal mucosal wounds were induced in Sprague-Dawley rats. Two weeks post-injury, PDT was administered via intraperitoneal injection of 100 mg/kg 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) and 635-nm red laser irradiation at varying energy doses (15, 30, and 45 J/cm²).
