Article Abstract

Aflatoxin B (AFB) is a serious mycotoxin that contaminates food and poses a major threat to global health. In this study, a novel ECL immunosensor platform was developed utilizing HTCPE-TiO as a luminescent probe and PdCu nanoflowers (PdCu NFs) as an electrode substrate. The aggregation-induced enhanced electrochemiluminescence effect (AIECL) and the amplification effect of TiO as a co-reaction promoter were combined in the HTCPE-TiO nanopolymer resulting in a strong ECL response. Coral-like PdCu NFs were used as substrate materials, providing a large surface area that facilitated efficient AFB antigen immobilization and enhanced the sensitivity of the immunosensor. The constructed ECL immunosensor platform demonstrated high sensitivity and selectivity for the quantitative detection of AFB in food samples. The detection range was 0.003-1000 ng mL with a limit of detection of 0.98 pg mL. Moreover, it showed great potential for application in the detection of real samples.

Aggregation-induced electrochemiluminescence (AIECL) is a promising strategy for enhancing electrochemiluminescence (ECL) efficiency by minimizing energy loss of excited-state ECL emitters. However, rational design of high-efficiency AIECL emitters is hindered by limited mechanistic understanding and an unclear structure-performance relationship. To address this, four supramolecular coordination frameworks (SCFs) with varying π-bridge structures are synthesized using pyridine-functionalized tetraphenylethene (TPE) as the ligand and Pt(II) as the coordination center.

Food spoilage poses a global challenge with far-reaching consequences for public health, economic stability, and environmental sustainability. Conventional analytical methods for spoilage detection though accurate are often cost-prohibitive, labor-intensive, and unsuitable for real-time or field-based monitoring. Microfluidic paper-based analytical devices (μPADs) have emerged as a transformative technology offering rapid, portable, and cost-effective solutions for food quality assessment.

Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most prevalent form of thyroid cancer with a high incidence among endocrine malignancies. It tends to metastasize early in lymph nodes and differs markedly from other subtypes in biological behavior, clinical management, and prognosis. Therefore, accurately distinguishing PTC from other pathological subtypes is crucial for guiding diagnosis and treatment decisions.

Compared with efficient anodic luminol electrochemiluminescence (ECL), the disadvantage of cathodic ECL is that luminol cannot be electrochemically oxidized in a direct manner, and the conversion efficiency of dissolved oxygen (DO) as the coreactant to reactive oxygen species (ROS) is poor, which limits its application. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a functional catalyst suitable for the luminol-DO ECL system to directly trigger cathodic ECL. In this study, a coordination microenvironment modulation strategy was proposed.
