Transition dipole strength (TDS) analysis enhances two-dimensional infrared (2D IR) spectroscopy by probing protein structural differences that frequency alone cannot resolve. However, its application has been limited to strong signals due to challenges with low signal-to-noise and large backgrounds in the linear optical density. Manual baseline correction can suffer from user error and produce large artifacts that obscure signals of interest.

Aims: The combination of cagrilintide and semaglutide (CagriSema) is being developed for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes. The objective of this thorough QT study was to confirm that cagrilintide does not result in a clinically relevant prolongation in cardiac repolarization compared with placebo.
Materials And Methods: This was a double-blind study (NCT05804162) in which healthy participants were randomized to cagrilintide, administered as a once-weekly subcutaneous injection dose escalated to 4.

Elevated levels of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) in plasma reflect neuroinflammation and are linked to cognitive decline. Preclinical studies show that dietary change can attenuate astrocyte reactivity and neuroinflammation. In the current study, we investigate if the Okinawa-based Nordic (O-BN) diet alters plasma GFAP levels in patients with Type 2 Diabetes (T2D), a metabolic disorder associated with cognitive disturbances and an increased risk of dementia.
