Article Abstract

is a pathogenic bacterial agent that causes meningococcal meningitis in humans. Developing a rapid and low-cost detection method is crucial, especially for developing countries. This study focuses on the development of an efficient loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) method for accurate identification. A new LAMP primer set was designed, and a LAMP reaction was optimized. The colorimetric detection method was also applied, and the assay characteristics were evaluated using clinical samples. The results demonstrated a specific LAMP reaction for detection of genotypes A, B, and C, with a limit of detection of 10 cfu/mL, 100% specificity and sensitivity, and a rapid detection time of only 40 min by colorimetric visual inspection. No cross-reactivity with reference strains of , , , , and type b was observed in the LAMP reaction with the new primer set. This result suggests that the LAMP reaction could be a promising tool for developing a rapid detection method suitable for use in Vietnam and other developing countries.

Against the backdrop of global carbon neutrality target driving the transformation of energy structure, alcohol fuel cells (AFCs) show great application potential; However, the sluggish kinetics of their anodic alcohol oxidation reaction hinders the commercialization of AFCs. Metallene is a novel 2D material with potential application prospect in the field of electrocatalysis. In this paper, PdMoW trimetallene has been successfully produced by a one-pot wet-chemical method, which displays a unique two-dimensional curved ultrathin graphene structure.

Platinum and platinum-based alloys have been reported to exhibit enhanced electrochemical properties in proton exchange membrane fuel cells and electrolyzers. The development of platinum alloy-based catalysts has focused on designing structures with highly active surfaces and optimizing the utilization of the noble metal Pt. In this study, we demonstrate the synthesis of novel nanostructures with a rhombic dodecahedral morphology through precursor syntheses of Pt, Ni, and Fe.
