Multi-modal and multi-view imaging is essential for diagnosis and assessment of cervical spondylosis. Deep learning has increasingly been developed to assist in diagnosis and assessment, which can help improve clinical management and provide new ideas for clinical research. To support the development and testing of deep learning models for cervical spondylosis, we have publicly shared a multi-modal and multi-view imaging dataset of cervical spondylosis, named MMCSD. This dataset comprises MRI and CT images from 250 patients. It includes axial bone and soft tissue window CT scans, sagittal T1-weighted and T2-weighted MRI, as well as axial T2-weighted MRI. Neck pain is one of the most common symptoms of cervical spondylosis. We use the MMCSD to develop a deep learning model for predicting postoperative neck pain in patients with cervical spondylosis, thereby validating its usability. We hope that the MMCSD will contribute to the advancement of neural network models for cervical spondylosis and neck pain, further optimizing clinical diagnostic assessments and treatment decision-making for these conditions.

BACKGROUND Degenerative cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM) is an age-related degenerative condition of the vertebral bodies, discs, and ligaments that can cause pressure on the spinal cord and nerves. Anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion is a widely used surgical approach for treating CSM, aiming to decompress the spinal cord, restore vertebral alignment, and improve fusion rates, thus providing relief to affected patients. This study was a neurological and biomechanical evaluation of 72 patients with degenerative CSM at 3, 6, and 12 months following anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion.

Background: As a minimally invasive technique, Fu's subcutaneous needling (FSN) has been widely adopted in Chinese clinical practice for managing neck-type cervical spondylosis (CS). However, current evidence regarding its therapeutic efficacy remains inconclusive due to methodological limitations in existing studies. This systematic review and meta-analysis therefore sought to quantitatively synthesize available randomized controlled trials to evaluate the clinical effectiveness and safety of FSN for this prevalent musculoskeletal disorder.

Clinical verification in homeopathy is a systematic process that aims to validate the therapeutic efficacy of homeopathic medicines. The Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) has been conducting clinical verification studies in lesser known, fragmentarily proved and rare medicines such as through its Clinical Verification Program, thereby expanding the therapeutic utility of these medicines. The primary objective of the study was to assess the change in intensity of presenting symptoms of the participants after administration of the medicine by measuring change in Measure Yourself Medical Outcome Profile-2 (MYMOP-2) profile score.

Objective: Reveal the changing rule of the positional relationship between the uncinate process of cervical spine and vertebral artery by measuring the relevant parameters between the uncinate process of cervical spine and vertebral artery in different age groups.
Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 1240 cases of cervical spine imaging data from 2018 to 2021 in the Radiology Department of the Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University. The distance between the uncinate process superior ridge and vertebral artery and the maximum of pedicle transverse angle, the minimum of pedicle transverse angle, the range of pedicle transverse angle and the pedicle width were measured according to age groups.

Background: Cervical spine radiography is a common screening tool for cervical spondylosis with radiographic features, including osteophytes, disc height narrowing, vertebral sclerosis, and spondylolisthesis. The Kellgren-Lawrence classification is widely used for evaluating musculoskeletal radiographs, including spinal radiographs; however, evaluating the individual radiographic features of spondylosis is challenging with this classification. This study aimed to develop an elemental grading system for evaluating cervical spine radiographs and the extent of cervical spondylosis.
