University Cooperative Extension, which may be the original rural Implementation Science model, holds great promise for translating research into practice and addressing rural health disparities. As this model not only requires successful collaboration between academic researchers and Extension Educators but also possible implementation adaptation to the context of Cooperative Extension and the environments in which they work, implementation research is critical to effective translation into practice and impact. This study was informed by the RE-AIM (Reach, Effectiveness, Adoption, Implementation, and Maintenance) framework describes Cooperative Extension Educators' implementation of the virtual Happy Healthy Homes interventions, a nutrition intervention and a children's environmental health intervention, for rural Family Child Care Home providers. Educators provided feedback on curricula, were trained and conducted the two virtual interventions with providers. Implementation of intervention activities and dose were recorded using REDCap. Virtual, structured interviews were conducted to assess Educators' intervention adoption, implementation, and maintenance. Transcribed interviews were analyzed for themes by two investigators and confirmed by a third. Results indicated that the majority the intervention curricula and activities were delivered as planned. Adoption themes included topical relevance to the community; toolkit provision and financial resource need; and need for additional marketing materials. Implementation themes included Educator's content expertise; learning environment distractions; and virtual delivery. Maintenance themes included transferability of content to multiple audiences; mission alignment; and Educator awareness. Overall, the implementation partnership with Extension Educators was successful. Virtual implementation was novel for Educators but considered to be positive and an opportunity for expanding future reach.

Using precision analytics approaches with population health data helps identify localized patterns of social determinants and comorbidities, supporting the design of tailored interventions. The University of Kentucky College of Public Health (UKCPH) and UK King's Daughters (UKKD) have partnered to create a Precision Public Health Alliance (PPHA) applying precision analytics to UKKD electronic health records (EHR) as well as secondary datasets to map social, demographic, and clinical comorbidity factors onto colorectal cancer (CRC) screening data in UKKD's rural service area (the northeastern Kentucky counties of Boyd, Carter, Greenup, and Lawrence and southeast Ohio county of Lawrence). In addition to UKKD and UKCPH clinicians and researchers, PPHA includes a community-based Action Team of local social services, behavioral health, and public health agencies and Cooperative Extension agents responsible for translating findings into quality improvement priorities.

Catalytic pyrolysis, an efficient thermochemical process, offers a promising pathway to valorize thermoset photovoltaic backsheets (TPV) into high-value chemicals. This study investigates the ex situ catalytic pyrolysis of TPV using two acidic catalysts, ZSM-5 and FeNi-ZSM-5, under varied operational conditions, with a focus on product distribution and process efficiency. The catalytic intervention significantly enhanced pyrolysis performance.

Background: We sought to investigate the association between circulating inflammatory and cardiovascular proteomics biomarkers and cardiac autonomic nervous dysfunction-sensitive heart rate variability indices.
Methods: Using the population-based KORA (Cooperative Health Research in the Region of Augsburg) cohort, 233 proteomics biomarkers were quantified in baseline plasma samples of 1389 individuals using proximity extension assay technology. Five heart rate variability indices (Rényi entropy of the histogram with order [α] 4, total power of the density spectra, SD of word sequence, SD of the short-term normal-to-normal interval variability, compression entropy) were assessed at baseline in 982 individuals and in 407 individuals at baseline and at 14-year follow-up.
