Classroom engagement, a critical factor in enhancing learning outcomes and personal development, serves as a direct manifestation of students' agency in learning. Understanding its developmental trajectory facilitates the efficient implementation of pedagogical activities. It also promotes students' holistic development. This study aims to delineate the dynamic evolution of classroom engagement by constructing a network-based knowledge map, thereby revealing overarching research trends and shifts in this field. Systematically reviewing literature on classroom engagement since 1975, this research employs CiteSpace to visualize 919 articles sourced from the Web of Science Core Collection, offering valuable insights for theoretical exploration and practical applications in this domain. Key findings indicate: (1) a consistent increase in classroom engagement research over the past five decades; (2) the United States as the leading contributor; (3) Arizona State University, Texas A&M University College Station, and the University of California System as the most prolific institutions; (4) Fitzpatrick C as the most representative high-output author, with Fredricks JA being the most frequently cited scholar; (5) core journals including , , and ; and (6) emerging research hotspots such as flipped classroom, language, online education, and three focal themes: students with disabilities, interpersonal relationships, and student engagement.

Artificial intelligence (AI) tools like ChatGPT offer new opportunities to enhance student learning through active recall and self-directed inquiry. This study aimed to determine student perceptions of a classroom assignment designed to develop proficiency in using ChatGPT for these strategies. First-semester Doctor of Pharmacy students in a foundational sciences course completed an assignment using ChatGPT for active recall.

Photographic imagery holds profound power in shaping narratives, identities, and perceptions in global health education. Historically, visual representation used in global health has perpetuated colonial hierarchies, reinforcing inequities and marginalizing the voices and lived realities of the communities they depict. These images can inadvertently sustain harmful stereotypes and distort the complexity of global health challenges.

This manuscript examines how home visiting by educators aligns with and informs culturally responsive and sustaining pedagogy (CR-SP) through the lens of developmental theory. Drawing on a synthesis of multiple qualitative studies, we analyze evidence of home visiting's influence on four dimensions of CR-SP: teachers' beliefs, dispositions, instructional practices, and integration of family and community knowledge. We find the strongest alignment between home visiting and teacher beliefs, including enhanced self-reflection, cultural competence, and asset-based thinking.

This study introduced an innovative methodology that encompasses theoretical model reconstruction, tool development, and teaching-chain integration that addresses the limitations of existing teaching tools, including the complex operation of professional software, restricted accessibility to web-based tools, and insufficient parameter-adjustment flexibility. An improved mathematical plate-theory model was established by incorporating mobile-phase flow rate, dead time, and phase ratio parameters.

Introduction: This study examines the relationship between principal instructional leadership and teacher self-efficacy in student engagement and classroom management within Chinese primary and secondary schools. Grounded in Bandura's self-efficacy theory, it addresses two research questions: (1) What is the association between principal instructional leadership and teacher self-efficacy? (2) Which specific leadership dimensions most significantly predict teacher efficacy?
Methods: A quantitative research design was employed, with data collected from 459 teachers through two validated online instruments: the Educational Leadership Instrument (ELI) and the Teachers' Sense of Efficacy Scale (TSES). Data analysis included descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression.
