Optical metrology underpins sensing applications that require extreme precision and accuracy. Optical metrology with a continuous-wave source is constrained by the near-ambiguous range of one optical wavelength, limiting the realization of full interferometric sensitivity. We present a digitally tunable, multi-wavelength continuous-wave optical phase measurement scheme, which can be used for absolute laser ranging. This system was demonstrated over a free-space link on an optical bench, with a distance uncertainty of, at best, 0.2 μm-sufficient to resolve the continuous-wave optical fringe. This design is flexible and can be applied to both coherent optical ranging and optical time and frequency transfer.

Caliciopsis pinea is the ascomycete plant pathogen that causes caliciopsis canker disease on North American Pinus strobus (eastern white pine). Infections result in downgrading of lumber due to canker formation and overall loss of vigor in P. strobus, which is a critical cover species throughout its native range.

Background: Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are a major clinical challenge, particularly among patients with refractory ulcers, that often lead to severe complications such as infection, amputation, and high mortality. Innovations supported by strong clinical evidence have the potential to improve healing outcomes, enhance quality of life, and reduce the economic burden on individuals and health care systems.
Objective: To describe the design of the concurrent optical and magnetic stimulation (COMS) therapy Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) study for refractory DFUs (MAVERICKS) trial.

Background: Identifying suspected anterior circulation large-vessel occlusion (aLVO) strokes during emergency calls could enhance dispatch efficiency, particularly in rural areas. However, data on emergency medical dispatchers' (EMDs) ability to recognize aLVO symptoms remain limited. This simulation study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of identifying side-specific arm paresis, side-specific conjugate eye deviation (CED), and aphasia during emergency calls by instructing layperson callers to perform brief, standardized examination steps.

The emergence of organoid models has significantly bridged the gap between traditional cell cultures/animal models and authentic human disease states, particularly for genetic disorders, where their inherent genetic fidelity enables more biologically relevant research directions and enhances translational validity. This review systematically analyzes established organoid models of genetic diseases across organs (e.g.

Introduction: Complex chromosomal rearrangements (CCRs) are frequently associated with infertility and have been described in the literature. Chromoanagenesis corresponds to a group of CCRs with a high number of chromosome breakpoints. These CCRs involving small structural variations can only be identified by using high-resolution genomic techniques.
