Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the laser-assisted new attachment procedure (LANAP) and low-level laser therapy (LLLT) on clinical, biochemical, and radiographic parameters when applied alongside scaling and root planing (SRP).
Methods: The study was designed as a randomized controlled, single-blind, parallel trial involving 68 patients diagnosed with periodontitis. The participants were divided into three groups: Group 1: SRP (control), Group 2: LANAP, and Group 3: LLLT. Clinical measurements, gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) samples, and standard periapical radiographs were obtained pre-treatment and at one- and three-month follow-ups. In GCF, interleukin-1beta (IL-1β), interleukin-10 (IL-10), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) were analyzed.
Results: In moderate (4-6 mm) and deep pockets (≥ 7 mm), laser-treated groups showed a significant reduction in pocket depth (PD) and clinical attachment level (CAL) compared to the control group. However, there were no statistically significant differences in biochemical markers between the groups. Group 2 demonstrated significant bone filling compared to the control group.
Conclusion: In deep pockets, laser-treated groups provide additional benefits to SRP. The application of LLLT positively affected recession (REC).
Trial Registration Number: NCT04694222 Date of registration: 01/01/2021.

Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical effect of Nd:YAG laser-assisted non-surgical periodontal treatment on patients with stage II/III periodontitis.
Methods: A total of 599 teeth from 22 patients with stage II/III periodontitis were included in this study. A split-mouth design randomly assigned one side to the laser group (subgingival instrumentation + Nd:YAG laser) and the other to the control group (subgingival instrumentation alone).

This case report outlines a multidisciplinary surgical approach to vestibular deepening in a 62-year-old male with a severely resorbed edentulous maxilla and poor denture retention. To optimize the maxillary vestibular depth and prepare the arch for prosthetic rehabilitation, Clark's technique was utilized in the bilateral posterior region, while a diode laser-assisted periosteal release and frenectomy were performed in the anterior segment. These procedures enabled effective apical repositioning of the mucosa and muscle attachments without the need for grafting, thereby enhancing the extent of immobile mucosa essential for denture stability.

Background: There is a lack of research on the bonding ability of attachments to fluorosis enamel. This study evaluates Er: YAG laser-assisted acid etching as a potential optimization protocol.
Methods: Twenty healthy teeth and ninety fluorotic teeth (Thylstrup-Fejerskov Index = 4) were divided into a control group (healthy enamel + acid etching) and a fluorotic group (acid etching 30/60/90 seconds vs.

: Periodontitis is a chronic inflammation of the periodontium that induces damage in the periodontal ligaments and the surrounding alveolar bone. This study aimed to comparatively evaluate the clinical outcomes of two therapies used in the management of periodontal conditions, represented by scaling and root planing (SRP) alone and laser-assisted new attachment procedure (LANAP). Two quadrants of the oral cavity from each selected patient were randomly allocated to one of the treatment groups, SRP or LANAP.
