The new taxon Fujianella paradoxa gen. et sp. nov. is described and illustrated from the Early Cretaceous Bantou Formation, in Yong'an County, Fujian Province, southeastern China. It is placed in the insect suborder Sternorrhyncha (Hemiptera) but left unassigned to any family at present due to its controversial features. This fossil record represents the second psyllid-looking taxon reported from the Cretaceous of China, found mainly in the Jurassic. This discovery further showcases the similarities in entomofauna between the Middle Jurassic Yanliao biota in the North of China and the Early Cretaceous in the South of China.

Background: The Therapeutic Effects of Steroids in IgA Nephropathy Global (TESTING) trial demonstrated that glucocorticoid therapy reduced proteinuria and improved kidney outcomes in patients with Immunoglobulin A Nephropathy (IgAN). Galactose-deficient IgA1 (Gd-IgA1) plays a central role in IgAN pathogenesis by promoting immune complex formation. However, the effects of glucocorticoid on pathogenic IgA levels remain unclear.

The System of Radiological Protection (the "System") developed by the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) is built on nearly a century of efforts of numerous scientists and practitioners working together internationally. It rests on three enduring pillars: science, ethics, and experience. These pillars support the three fundamental principles that shape radiological protection strategies: justification, optimisation, and application of dose limits.

We systematically evaluated the DNA adsorption and desorption efficiencies of several nanoparticles. Among them, titanium dioxide (TiO₂) nanoparticles (NPs), aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) NPs, and zinc oxide (ZnO) NPs exhibited strong DNA-binding capacities under mild conditions. However, phosphate-mediated DNA displacement efficiencies varied considerably, with only TiO₂ NPs showing consistently superior performance.

The introduction of two-dimensional (2D) perovskite layers on top of three-dimensional (3D) perovskite films enhances the performance and stability of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). However, the electronic effect of the spacer cation and the quality of the 2D capping layer are critical factors in achieving the required results. In this study, we compared two fluorinated salts: 4-(trifluoromethyl) benzamidine hydrochloride (4TF-BA·HCl) and 4-fluorobenzamidine hydrochloride (4F-BA·HCl) to engineer the 3D/2D perovskite films.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine through a Delphi process a list of outcomes measures for clinicians to use when assessing individuals with Lumbar Spinal Stenosis (LSS).
Methods: A three-phase Delphi process was conducted by the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine (ISSLS) Lumbar Spinal Stenosis Taskforce, including two online surveys, two virtual meetings, and three in-person consensus meetings at the ISSLS annual conferences (2023-2025). Participants evaluated and ranked outcome measures for LSS, with final endorsement requiring > 66% agreement.
