Article Abstract

Many benign bone lesions mimic skeletal metastases from thyroid cancer on imaging and even may have high metabolic uptake on F-FDG PET/CT. It becomes crucial to distinguish these hypermetabolic lesions (benign vs. metastasis), especially in patients with thyroglobulin elevation and negative iodine scan. The index case describes a patient with thyroid cancer having thyroglobulin elevation and negative iodine scan with a hypermetabolic aneurysmal bone cyst mimicking skeletal metastasis.

Objective: Aim: To find out new objective criteria for laser histological differential diagnosis of thyroid pathology based on the use of a digital method of layer-by-layer polarization-interference mapping of polarization ellipticity maps of microscopic images of native histological sections of thyroid biopsy.

Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: Four groups of patients were studied: control group 1 - healthy donors (51 patients); study group 2 - patients with nodular goiter (51 patients); study group 3 - patients with autoimmune thyroiditis (51 patients); study group 4 - patients with papillary cancer (51 patients). Methods used: polarization-interference, statistical.

Background: The roles of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in the progression of various human tumors have been extensively studied. However, their specific mechanisms and therapeutic potential in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) remain to be fully elucidated.

Materials And Methods: The qRT-PCR assay was utilized to assess the relative mRNA levels of TFAP2A-AS1, PHGDH, and miR-6892.

Background: Voghera pepper (VP) extracts were demonstrated to have anti-oxidant ability in several cell types.

Purpose: This study aimed to assess whether VP-extracts could lower oxidative stress and modulate thyroid cancer (TC) cells behavior .

Methods: Extracts were analyzed using the LC-DAD-MS system.

Introduction: The prognosis of anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC) remains poor. Mutation-based targeted therapies and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) have gained increasing importance in the treatment of advanced tumor stages. This study aimed to investigate whether mutation-based neoadjuvant therapy can convert an initially unresectable tumor into a resectable state, optimizing local tumor control and prolonging overall survival.
