Ion channels, which own efficient, accurate, and selective ion transport ability, play a key role in maintaining cell homeostasis, participating in signal transduction, and other physiological processes in organisms. However, the inherent complexity and uncontrollability of ion channels in nature restrict their direct use in technical applications. In order to address the application requirements of specific fields, nanochannels have been designed to simulate and optimize the functional characteristics of biological ion channels. Herein, two-dimensional (2D) nanochannels based on MXene/carbon nanotube (CNT) composite membrane are constructed, with their ion transport mechanisms analyzed using molecular dynamics simulations. In addition, the ion transport characteristics in nanochannels under the influence of external environment of pressure are further explored and the current density can reach up to 315 nA cm. Based on the ion selectivity of nanochannels in MXene/CNT composite membrane, a self-powered linear pressure sensor is designed, which shows an ultrafast response (51.3 ms) and recovery time (60.2 ms), respectively. Thus, the sensor is capable of monitoring a range of human activities ranging from subtle deformations to vigorous body movements. Furthermore, the sensor can readily differentiate a range of sounds through air vibration and exhibit enormous potential in sound visualization technology.

Dent disease is a rare X-linked recessive inherited renal tubular disorder characterized by low molecular weight proteinuria (LMWP), hypercalciuria, nephrocalcinosis, and other clinical features, and can lead to progressive renal failure. It is primarily caused by mutations in the gene. This article reports the case of a 10-year-old male patient of Chinese descent who was incidentally found to have asymptomatic proteinuria during a routine health examination.

This work presents the synthesis of a molecular crystal of adiponitrile (Adpn) and LiI a simple melting method. The molecular crystal has both Li and I channels and can be either a Li or an I conductor. In the stoichiometric crystal (Adpn)LiI, the Li ions interact only with four CN groups of Adpn, while the I ions are uncoordinated.

B cell tolerance is critical for preventing autoimmunity, yet the mechanisms by which B cells discriminate self from non-self antigens remain incompletely understood. While early findings emphasize the role of classical antigen-mediated BCR signaling strength by varying antigen formats, emerging evidence highlights the importance of mechanical cues during antigen recognition. This review explores how mechanosensitive ion channels, particularly Piezo1, contribute to B cell activation and tolerance by integrating physical forces at the immune synapse.

Objectives: To investigate the role of ferroptosis in diquat-induced acute kidney injury (AKI) and its molecular mechanisms.
Methods: Transgenic zebrafish models with Tg (Eco.Tshb:EGFP) labeling of the renal tubules and Tg (lyz:dsRed2) labeling of the neutrophils were both divided into control group, gentamicin (positive control) group, diquat poisoning group, ferroptosis inhibitor group.

Objectives: To investigate the therapeutic effect of acupuncture in a rat model of insomnia and its regulatory effect on the glutamic acid (Glu)/γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA)-glutamine (Gln) metabolic loop.
Methods: Forty male SD rats were randomly assigned to control group, model group, group and group (=10). In the latter 3 groups, rat models of insomnia were established by intraperitoneal injections of p-chlorophenylalanine and verified using a sodium pentobarbital-induced sleep test.
