Article Abstract

Almost 14% of all head and neck malignancies are contributed by Lymphomas which are solid tumours of the immune system. Non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHLs) are a heterogeneous group of lymphoproliferative disorders originating in B-, T-, or natural killer T-cells with wide range of histological and clinical features, which can make diagnosis difficult. A 58-year-old male patient presented with a two-month history of swelling in the left cheek which was gradually progressing. Clinico radiological examinations were contradictory to each other with multiple differential diagnosis. Biopsy came out as primary subcutaneous NHL, which was neither clinically nor radiologically anticipated. This article is an attempt to address the diagnostic difficulty of odd clinical presentation such as rhino-facial swelling and to discuss the differential diagnosis of rhino-facial swellings. Typically, a multimodal approach is employed, and the principal ancillary technique that have been found to be useful in classification is IHC.

Background: Evidence from multiple pilots and post-introduction scale-up initiatives have demonstrated that self-administered subcutaneous depot-medroxyprogesterone acetate (DMPA-SC) has potential to improve contraceptive continuation rates and expand contraceptive access to populations with limited utilization of facility-based health services. Only a few of these studies have been conducted in South Asian countries, and none where most contraceptive use is of non-hormonal methods that require limited to no contact with the health system, leaving policymakers in countries like Pakistan with limited context-specific evidence to guide decisions on whether, how, and for whom to introduce DMPA-SC.

Methods: A prospective cohort study will be conducted in 41 health facilities and surrounding communities in Punjab, Pakistan.

Subcutaneous (SC) injection is the primary alternative to oral administration for therapeutic proteins and peptides. However, bioavailability and absorption rate are often variable and difficult to predict. Therefore, there is a need for new biorelevant and predictive SC in vitro methods.

Effect of a treatment strategy utilising golimumab, methotrexate and corticosteroids versus methotrexate and corticosteroids in early, untreated psoriatic arthritis (GOLMePsA): a single-centre, double-blind, parallel-group, randomised controlled trial.

Background: The optimal treatment strategy in early psoriatic arthritis remains unknown. We aimed to assess whether the combination of methotrexate and golimumab plus corticosteroids is superior to methotrexate plus corticosteroids in reducing disease activity in early, untreated psoriatic arthritis.

Methods: We did a double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, single-centre study in adults with treatment-naïve active psoriatic arthritis.

Garadacimab is a novel, fully human, anti-activated factor XII monoclonal antibody approved for long-term prophylaxis of patients with hereditary angioedema. This open-label, parallel-group, Phase 1, single-center, bridging study in healthy adults (18-55 years of age) characterized the pharmacokinetics and safety of a single 200 mg subcutaneous injection of garadacimab administered via autoinjector/pre-filled pen (AI/PFP) compared with the pre-filled syringe (PFS) used in previous studies. The aim of the study was to bridge the understanding of the PK and safety of garadacimab between PFS and AI/PFP modes of administration.

Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, University Hospital Leipzig, Leipzig, Liebigstr. 20, 04103, Leipzig, Germany. Electronic address:

Introduction: Body composition including low skeletal muscle mass (LSMM) defined by skeletal muscle index (SMI) and subcutaneous and visceral adipose tissue (SAT and VAT) can be assessed using cross-sectional imaging techniques. Previous studies have shown promising prognostic value for several tumour entities, including esophageal cancer (EC). The aim of this study was to analyse possible associations of body composition parameters in patients with esophageal cancer undergoing curative treatment.
