Organic compounds containing azines, di-imines, or bis-Schiff-bases have two azomethine (-CH=N-) functional groups associated with a bridging component. These constituents have attracted attention from a diversity of disciplines, comprising coordination, medicinal, agriculture chemistry, and organic synthesis, because of their comprehensive chemical reactivity and nature. This study determines common synthetic approaches and various biological and pharmacological activities of several substituted bis-Schiff byproducts. The usefulness of -Schiff bases in synthetic chemistry and their potential as inhibitors of a number of enzymes have attracted research attention. We have examined different biological activities and common synthetic methods used to make - Schiff bases that have been published in the literature. A systematic search of the literature has been performed, and studies fitting the prearranged inclusion standards have been inspected. This review can open up new potentials for upcoming research in this area and advance our information on bis- Schiff bases.

Introduction: Tenvermectin (TVM) is a novel avermectin-class drug that has attracted attention for its superior antiparasitic potency, low toxicity, and broad-spectrum activity. However, uncertainty about its interaction with cytochrome P450 enzymes (CYPs) has raised concerns about potential therapeutic failure, increased risk of toxicity, dangerous drug combinations, and prolonged discontinuation periods.
Method: To address these critical safety concerns, we conducted a systematic comparative study using a highly selective and quantitatively accurate substrate conversion assay to assess and compare the effects of TVM and ivermectin (IVM) on the activities of key CYPs (CYP1A1/2, 2B1, 2C6, 2D2, and 3A1/2).

Background: Compared to patients with controllable hypertension, those with resistant hypertension (RH) have a higher incidence of cardiovascular complications, including stroke, left ventricular hypertrophy, and congestive heart failure. Therefore, an urgent need exists for improved management and control, along with more effective medications. Aldosterone synthase inhibitors (ASIs) are newly emerging drugs that have gradually attracted an increasing amount of attention.

However, the relationship between the dietary index for gut microbiota (DI-GM) and CKM syndrome has not yet been studied. Patients diagnosed with CKM syndrome from the NHANES 2007-2018 data were included.

Nitrogen cycle is a fundamental biogeochemical loop existed for millions of years, which involves the transformation of nitrogen-containing chemicals in the environment. However, human activities, especially those since the Industrial Revolution, have significantly disrupted this balance, leading to environmental and energy challenges. Electrocatalysis nitrogen cycle (ENC) offers a promising alternative for the sustainable transformation of nitrogen compounds en route toward rebalancing, with reactions such as the electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction reaction (eNRR) and nitrate/nitrite reduction reaction (eNORR/eNORR) emerging as sustainable alternatives to the traditional Haber-Bosch process.

The decline of migratory shorebirds in the East Asian-Australasian Flyway has attracted global attention. Conservation efforts thus far have targeted habitat loss and degradation in the Yellow Sea region, with little attention having been given to direct mortality by humans. Here we studied the impacts of direct mortality of shorebirds along China's coast during migration from hunting, fishery bycatch and, at aquaculture sites, bird deterrence measures.
