The INDETERMINATE DOMAIN (IDD) gene family, encoding a class of C2H2 transcription factor, played diverse roles in land plants. The IDD family in tobacco () has not been characterized. In this study, 26 NtIDDs were identified in the tobacco genome. Phylogenetic analysis showed that NtIDDs were divided into five groups. Motif analysis revealed that the ID domain was conserved in NtIDDs. Gene duplication analysis demonstrated that segmental/whole-genome duplication and dispersed duplication would have occurred in NtIDDs. element analysis predicted that hormone-, stress-, and development-related elements are located in NtIDD promoters. Expression analysis revealed tissue preference patterns and differential hormone responses in NtIDDs. Further investigations on the function of exhibited increased leaf angle degrees in RNA silencing plants. Cellular localization suggested that expressed in the endodermis of the leaf petiole base. Subcellular localization analysis revealed that the NtIDD9 protein was located in the nucleus. Hormone quantification found that the levels of auxin, ABA, JA, and GA were significantly changed in -silenced plants. Thus, the study suggested that played a crucial role in modulation of leaf angle development. Overall, these findings lay foundations for future function and mechanism research on IDDs in tobacco.

Background This study was conducted to examine the effects of moving the isocenter (IC) position from the lesion to the center of the brain on stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) planning with volumetric-modulated arcs (VMA) using the High-Definition Dynamic Radiosurgery (HDRS) platform, a combination of the Agility multileaf collimator (MLC) (Elekta AB, Stockholm, Sweden) and the Monaco planning system (Elekta AB), for single brain metastases (BMs). Methodology The study subject included 36 clinical BMs with the gross tumor volume (GTV) ranging from 0.04 to 48.

In this study, aloe emodin and β-d-glucose pentaacetate were added into potato starch/polyvinyl alcohol for the construction of colorimetric/fluorescent dual-pass intelligent response labels. Inspired by the lotus leaf structure, retained the advantages of the label itself and solved the hydrophilic problem of the label, and further developed a multi-functional dual-channel smart label with hydrophobicity and self-adhesion. The water contact angle of the prepared T-AEB label was 120.

Weeds are one of the major constraints for wheat productivity, causing significant yield losses worldwide. While chemical control is the most used practice to overcome weed damage, its efficacy is challenged by increasing weed resistance to most used herbicides, which is an expanding phenomenon caused by herbicide overuse/misuse. Modern wheat varieties are less able to perceive the presence of weeds than old varieties and are therefore less competitive against them and require chemical control to ensure adequate yields.

Repellent surfaces provide resistance to biofouling, ice formation, bacteria adhesion, or corrosion. Inspired by the hierarchical structure of the lotus leaf, such surfaces minimize water adhesion through micro- and nanostructuring. Conventional fabrication methods to mimic the lotus leaf often involve problematic fluorinated compounds, sophisticated preparation conditions, or lack mechanical robustness.
