Background: Artificial intelligence chatbots (AICs) are designed to mimic human conversations through text or speech, offering both opportunities and challenges in scholarly publishing. While journal policies of AICs are becoming more defined, there is still a limited understanding of how Editors in chief (EiCs) of biomedical journals' view these tools. Aims: The number of hip fractures is increasing, with significant mortality and morbidity, particularly among frail and comorbid patients. Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) pathways have proven effective in elective orthopaedics, but this has not been investigated in people with hip fractures. This study aimed to identify current perioperative practice and develop a cohesive ERAS pathway tailored for hip fracture patients, to standardize and optimize care.

The Anatolian ground squirrel (Spermophilus xanthoprymnus) offers a valuable model for investigating neuroadaptive processes in the retina during hibernation. This study aimed to assess the expression of vesicular glutamate transporter 1 (VGLUT1), glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) isoforms GAD65 and GAD67, and microtubule-associated protein 2 (MAP2) in the retina during pre-hibernation and hibernation states.
