Objective: To investigate the value of prediction of the differentiation level in lung adenocarcinoma based on CT radiomics model.
Methods: Data from 507 patients with postoperative pathological confirmed lung adenocarcinoma and clearly defined differentiation level of lung adenocarcinoma were retrospective analyzed. The enrolled cases were divided into poorly differentiation group and moderate-to-high differentiation group based on the grading criteria. CT image features were extracted, and seven machine learning algorithms were used to construct prediction models to obtain the AUC, accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity.
Results: The poorly differentiation group consisted of 175 cases, while the moderate-to-high differentiation group had 332 cases. The XGBoost model demonstrated the best performance, with the AUC, accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity of this model on the validation set being 0.878, 0.829, 0.667, and 0.727, respectively.
Conclusion: CT radiomics model can effectively predict the differentiation level of poorly differentiation and moderate-to-high differentiation in lung adenocarcinoma.

Background: Lateral malleolar avulsion fracture (LMAF) and subfibular ossicle (SFO) are distinct entities that both present as small bone fragments near the lateral malleolus on imaging, yet require different treatment strategies. Clinical and radiological differentiation is challenging, which can impede timely and precise management. On imaging, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the diagnostic gold standard for differentiating LMAF from SFO, whereas radiological differentiation on computed tomography (CT) alone is challenging in routine practice.

Rosai-Dorfman disease (RDD) is a rare histiocytic disorder that may clinically and histologically resemble IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD), especially in the presence of IgG4-positive plasma cell infiltration. In this case, a 69-year-old woman with generalized lymphadenopathy, constitutional symptoms, and elevated IgG4 levels was initially suspected to have IgG4-RD based on core needle biopsy. However, further evaluation with excisional lymph node biopsy revealed emperipolesis and S100-positive histiocytes, confirming the diagnosis of RDD.

Copeptin, a stable glycopeptide derived from the precursor of arginine vasopressin (AVP), has emerged as a valuable surrogate biomarker for AVP due to its stability and ease of measurement. This narrative review explores the physiological role of copeptin, its utility as a diagnostic and prognostic biomarker in different kidney diseases, and its clinical relevance in renal tubular disorders. The clinical application of copeptin as a diagnostic biomarker is best established in the differential diagnosis of polyuria-polydipsia syndrome (PPS), distinguishing nephrogenic diabetes insipidus (NDI) from central diabetes insipidus (CDI) and primary polydipsia (PP).
