Article Abstract

The optical detection methodology stands as a predominant approach for detecting underwater bubbles. Nonetheless, owing to poor underwater imaging conditions, the acquired image depth of field proves inadequate, posing significant challenges for the study and identification of underwater micro bubbles. In this investigation, we present a multi-focus image fusion model tailored for underwater micro bubbles, grounded in the Denoising Diffusion Probabilistic Model. We also propose a multi-focus image fusion metric suitable for underwater scenarios with micro bubbles. Experimental validation on the constructed dataset demonstrates that our model achieves better results than traditional methods. These results substantiate the model's efficacy in conserving image characteristics and attaining multi-focus fusion. Consequently, this research furnishes substantial empirical support for subsequent endeavors in image-related tasks.

Anion exchange membrane water electrolyzers (AEMWEs) offer a promising alternative to proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzers, leveraging non-precious-metal catalysts and alkaline electrolytes for cost reduction. However, challenges persist in achieving long-term durability, high current densities, and stable membrane performance. While previous studies have examined AEM development, a comprehensive structural-electrochemical analysis of AEMWE components under prolonged operation remains limited.

This paper examines how water temperature affects the dynamics of a single cavitation bubble in free field conditions. Both experimental and theoretical approaches are employed to explore the bubble dynamics in water under different temperatures. A series of single bubble experiments are conducted in water using the capacitive discharge method, with water temperature ranging from room temperature to near boiling point under atmospheric pressure.

Microfluidic devices with built-in microvalves hold particular promise for minimizing sample volume requirements while automating sample preparation workflows. Such devices have typically been implemented in polydimethyl siloxane (PDMS) using multi-layer soft lithography. Both the material and assembly process of devices present challenges for scalable manufacturing and limit utilization of microfluidic automation at the point of care.

As an important part of global carbon neutrality strategies, carbon dioxide (CO) capture, utilization, and storage technologies have emerged as critical solutions for reducing carbon emissions. However, conventional CO applications, including food preservation, industrial synthesis, and enhanced oil recovery, face inherent limitations such as suboptimal gas-liquid mass transfer efficiency and inadequate long-term stability. Recent advancements in CO micro-nanobubbles (CO MNBs) have demonstrated remarkable potential across multidisciplinary domains, owing to their distinctive physicochemical characteristics encompassing elevated internal pressure, augmented specific surface area, exceptional stability, etc.

In this paper, the potential and mechanistic behavior of micro-nano bubbles (MNBs) synergistic with sodium hypochlorite (NaClO) in the degradation of sulfamethoxazole (SMX) were thoroughly investigated. In the MNBs-NaClO system, the effects of varying environmental factors (NaClO concentration, pH, inorganic anions, surfactants) on the degradation efficiency of SMX were investigated. The degradation products and pathways of SMX were investigated to reveal the degradation mechanism of antibiotics within the MNBs-NaClO system by using density functional theory (DFT) and high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS).
