The etiology of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is still unclear, but it has been shown to be genetically related. While previous studies have shown a causal relationship between immune cells and RA, there has been no systematic evaluation of the causal relationship between immune cell characteristics and RA in terms of genetic variation. For this study, a comprehensive Mendelian randomization analysis was performed to determine the causal relationship between immune cell characteristics and RA.

Objective: To elucidate the causal relationship between specific immune cells and autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) using a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) approach.
Methods: A bidirectional MR analysis was conducted using data from large publicly accessible Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS) databases. The inverse variance weighted (IVW) method was employed as the primary method to evaluate the relationship between 731 immune cell traits and AIH.

Background: Increasing evidence indicates certain types of immune cells are linked to leukemia, but whether this link is causal has remained unclear.
Methods: A two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis was conducted to examine the causal relationship (CR) among 731 immune cell traits and leukemia. The inverse variance weighted (IVW) technique was applied, along with the weighted median and MR-Egger approaches, to analyze the data.

Background: Circulating immune cells reportedly affect diabetic neuropathy (DN). Although associations have been previously established between numerous biomarkers and diseases, elucidating their causal relationships remains challenging. Mendelian Randomization (MR) could overcome this difficulty by applying genetic instruments to discern causal links.

Background: Although phobia is a common psychiatric disorder, the underlying biological mechanisms have not been fully elucidated. Complex immune-brain interactions that affect neural development, survival, and function may have causal and therapeutic implications in psychiatric illnesses. In this study, the relationships between immune cell traits and phobia were analysed using Mendelian randomization to explore the biological mechanisms.
