Article Abstract

Poplar trees are excellent varieties widely used for gardening and greening. However, their single color and floating fluffy seeds are major disadvantages. Plant species or varieties with variegated leaves are desperately needed to meet various demands for gardens, urban greening and landscape decoration, as they produce rich foliage colors that are aesthetically pleasing and functional. In this study, we generated a golden leaf triploid poplar ( × ) by repressing the expression of () genes in leaves. The triploid golden leaf poplar had reduced chlorophyll content but almost no change in the growth rate. It has great potential in landscaping once it passes safety assessments.

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in biosolid-amended soils can transfer and accumulate in crops, cattle, and people. Bioaccumulation factors (BAFs) are often applied to estimate the transfer of contaminants from soil to crops. However, they can vary widely and introduce uncertainty to exposure and risk estimates.

Hemp possesses significant healthcare value due to its rich composition of unsaturated fatty acids and a distinctive golden ratio of linoleic acid to α-linolenic acid. As a promising special-oil crop, it holds substantial potential for development and utilization. However, the regulatory mechanisms underlying its lipid metabolic pathways remain poorly understood.

Precisely recognizing diseases in tomato leaves plays a crucial role in enhancing the health, productivity, and quality of tomato crops. However, disease identification methods that rely on single-mode information often face the problems of insufficient accuracy and weak generalization ability. Therefore, this paper proposes a tomato leaf disease recognition framework FCMNet based on multimodal fusion, which combines tomato leaf disease image and text description to enhance the ability to capture disease characteristics.

Background: Renal denervation (RDN) has been introduced as a novel non-pharmacological intervention for patients with hypertension that is poorly controlled by pharmacological means. Our study aims to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of the Netrod RDN treatment plus antihypertensives compared with antihypertensives alone for hypertension in Mainland China, Japan and Thailand.

Methods: A Markov decision-analytic model was developed to simulate the long-term clinical events, quality-adjusted life years (QALYs) and related costs among patients who underwent RDN regimen and antihypertensive regimen in line with Netrod-HTN trial, with yearly cycles over a 30-year horizon.
