Background: Hair analysis is increasingly utilized in psychoneuroendocrine research to assess long-term hormonal activity. A critical practical question when using this method is how long hair samples can be stored without compromising data quality, yet this issue remains insufficiently researched. Here, we report data from a first systematic, well-controlled within-subject investigation into the impact of storage duration (over 12 months) on hair cortisol and other common hair analytes.

Translation of the chloroplast psbA mRNA in angiosperms is activated by photodamage of its gene product, the D1 subunit of photosystem II (PSII), providing nascent D1 for PSII repair. The involvement of chlorophyll in the regulatory mechanism has been suggested due to the regulatory roles of proteins proposed to mediate chlorophyll/D1 transactions and the fact that chlorophyll is synthesized only in the light in angiosperms. We used ribosome profiling and RNA-seq to address whether the effects of light on chloroplast translation are conserved in the liverwort Marchantia (Marchantia polymorpha), which synthesizes chlorophyll in both the dark and the light.

Objective: Urban short underpass tunnels, characterized by steep longitudinal slopes, limited lengths, and abrupt light transitions, pose significant driving risks. This study aims to comprehensively investigate drivers' speed control behavior, visual adaptation processes, and mental workload mechanisms within such tunnels under real traffic conditions.
Methods: A real-vehicle experiment was conducted involving 35 drivers.
Unlabelled: Metagenomics has become a powerful tool for studying microbial communities, allowing researchers to investigate microbial diversity within complex environmental samples. Recent advances in sequencing technology have enabled the recovery of near-complete microbial genomes directly from metagenomic samples, also known as metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs). However, accurately characterizing these genomes remains a significant challenge due to the presence of sequencing errors, incomplete assembly, and contamination.

Recent advances in low-light image enhancement (LLIE) have achieved impressive progress. However, the scarcity of paired data has emerged as a significant obstacle to further advancements. In this work, we propose Semi-LLIE, a novel semi-supervised framework that introduces unpaired low- and normal-light images into model training via the mean-teacher paradigm.
