We investigated the relationship between the degree of alveolarization and ultrasound-assessed lung aeration in a validated preterm rabbit model of experimental bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD). Lung ultrasound findings were heterogeneously abnormal and consisted of zones with interstitial, interstitial-alveolar or consolidated patterns. The median radial alveolar count was 10.1 [8.4-11.5], 7.8 [6.1-9] and 7.3 [1.8-10.1] in rabbits with interstitial, interstitial-alveolar or consolidated ultrasound pattern, respectively (overall p = 0.036). Alveolar count and lung ultrasound score were significantly correlated (ρ = - 0.044 (95%CI: - 1; - 0.143), p = 0.009; τ = - 0.362 (95%CI: - 0.6; - 0.1), p = 0.017).

Purpose: Bronchiolar adenoma (BA) is a rare benign pulmonary neoplasm originating from the bronchial mucosal epithelium and mimics lung adenocarcinoma (LAC) both radiographically and microscopically. This study aimed to develop a nomogram for distinguishing BA from LAC by integrating clinical characteristics and artificial intelligence (AI)-derived histogram parameters across two medical centers.
Methods: This retrospective study included 215 patients with diagnoses confirmed by postoperative pathology from two medical centers.
Objectives: To evaluate the outcomes with lung changes of fetoscopic endoluminal tracheal occlusion (FETO) for congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH).
Methods: Between 2014 and 2023, we performed FETO for severe or moderate left-sided CDH with the Kitano Grade 3 stomach position. We analyzed the pre- and post-operative ultrasound findings, pregnancy outcomes, and survival rates at six months.

Background: Mucormycosis is a rare, rapidly progressive fungal infection with a high mortality rate. However, clinical data of mucormycosis patients, especially those related to adverse outcomes in China, remain limited.
Objective: To enhance understanding of the clinical characteristics of different infection site mucormycosis and identify the factors associated with adverse outcomes.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of baricitinib in combination therapy for managing refractory, rapidly progressive systemic sclerosis (SSc) with severe cardiac conduction defects and interstitial lung disease (ILD).
Methods: A 48-year-old male patient with SSc complicated by significant cardiac enlargement, third-degree atrioventricular block, heart failure, progressive ILD, and partial intestinal obstruction was included in the study. Prior treatments with mycophenolate mofetil (MMF), tacrolimus, and cyclophosphamide (CTX) had shown limited efficacy.
