In this paper, we propose a lightweight lithography machine learning-based hotspot detection model that integrates the Squeeze-and-Excitation (SE) attention mechanism and the Efficient Channel Attention (ECA) mechanism. These mechanisms can adaptively adjust channel weights, significantly enhancing the model's ability to extract relevant features of hotspots and non-hotspots through cross-channel interaction without dimensionality reduction. Our model extracts feature vectors through seven convolutional layers and four pooling layers, followed by three fully connected layers that map to the output, thereby simplifying the CNN network structure. Experimental results on our collected layout dataset and the ICCAD 2012 layout dataset demonstrate that our model is more lightweight. By evaluating overall accuracy, recall, and runtime, the comprehensive performance of our model is shown to exceed that of ConvNeXt, Swin transformer, and ResNet 50.

The study of population dynamics in a vertical forest gradient provides basic information on the aspects of insect vector natural history that influence the rate of pathogen transmission. In Mexico, these studies are remarkably limited for sand flies recognised as Leishmania vectors. This study analyses the temporal dynamics of sand fly species (Diptera: Psychodidae) along vertical strata of a tropical dry forest in Yucatán, Mexico, an area previously identified as a transmission hotspot for Leishmania mexicana.

This work aims to investigate the occurrence of 31 antibiotics (ABs), 2 bacteria ( and spp.) and their counterpart antibiotic-resistant bacteria (carbapenem and cephalosporin families), and several antibiotic-resistant genes (ARGs) throughout a full distribution system of reclaimed water (RW) in a real-scale scenario. The RW was analyzed (i) before and after the tertiary treatment (sand filtration and chlorination), (ii) during the storage period in secondary ponds before its use in irrigation, and (iii) directly in the droppers installed in four plastic-based greenhouses over 9 months.

To date, environmental conditions have been enough to act as an effective barrier to prevent non-indigenous species from arriving and establishing in Arctic Canada. However, rapidly changing climatic conditions are creating more suitable habitats for non-indigenous species to potentially establish and become invasive. Concurrently, shipping traffic in parts of Arctic Canada has increased by over 250% since 1990, providing an effective vector for transporting non-indigenous species to the region.

Exhaled breath analysis offers noninvasive, early lung cancer detection via volatile organic compound (VOC) biomarkers, surpassing blood-based methods. Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is ideal for this purpose, combining molecular fingerprint specificity with single-molecule sensitivity. However, conventional SERS substrates face a fundamental limitation: while porous materials such as metal-organic frameworks effectively adsorb VOCs through their subnanometer pores (0.
