Background: Delivering intensive care in conflict zones and other resource-limited settings presents unique clinical, logistical, and ethical challenges. These contexts, characterized by disrupted infrastructure, limited personnel, and prolonged field care, require adapted strategies to ensure critical care delivery under resource-limited settings.
Objective: This scoping review aims to identify and characterize medical innovations developed or implemented in recent conflicts that may be relevant and transposable to intensive care units operating in other resource-limited settings.

Background: The interprofessional educational curriculum for patient and personnel safety is of critical importance, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, to prepare junior multiprofessional teams for emergency settings.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an innovative interprofessional educational curriculum that integrated medical movies, massive open online courses (MOOCs), and 3D computer-based or virtual reality (VR) simulation-based interprofessional education (SimBIE) with team co-debriefing to enhance interprofessional collaboration and team performance using Team Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety (TeamSTEPPS). This study addressed 3 key questions.

Introduction: Donors are deferred if they are on antiretroviral medications (ARV) as post-exposure or pre-exposure prophylaxis (PEP or PrEP) for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). We assessed donor compliance by measuring ARV levels in selected anonymized donor samples collected from September 22, 2022 to December 31, 2024, almost all after the introduction of sexual risk behavior screening.
Methods: EDTA plasma samples collected at the time of donation (retention samples) were retrieved, frozen, and shipped for measurement of tenofovir and emtricitabine.

Background: Although blood group variation was first described over a century ago, our understanding of the genetic variation affecting antigenic expression on the red blood cell surface in many populations is lacking. This deficit limits the ability to accurately type patients, especially as serological testing is not available for all described blood groups, and targeted genotyping panels may lack rare or population-specific variants.
Study Design And Methods: Here, we perform serological assays across 24 antigens and whole genome sequencing on 100 Omanis, a population underrepresented in genomic databases.

Background: Megakaryocyte (MK) fragmentation into proplatelets (PPTs) and microparticles (MKMPs) is well established, yet the mechanisms underlying MKMP generation remain unclear.
Objectives: In order to investigate the role of integrin β3 and cytoskeletal dynamics during megakaryopoiesis and explore potential therapeutic targets for thrombocytopenia.
Methods: Proplatelet formation and MKMP release were evaluated both in vivo and in vitro under integrin β3 receptor impaired environment.
