Objective: To evaluate the stability and reliability of AI models and approaches in embryo selection and rank ordering for in-vitro fertilization (IVF).
Design: A laboratory-based study evaluating the stability and consistency of Single Instance Learning (SIL) models that assess embryos individually, predicting live-birth outcomes based solely on each embryo's morphological features. Fifty replicate convolutional neural networks (CNNs) with varying initialization parameters were trained and tested across two independent fertility center datasets.

Little is known about the impacts of fluctuating temperatures on early development in fishes, as most experiments on the effects of temperature use constant temperature exposures. Here we asked whether thermal performance curves (TPCs) for development generated at constant temperatures can be used to make predictions about performance at fluctuating temperatures. We incubated embryos of a topminnow, Fundulus heteroclitus, to the same mean temperature with differing extents of diel fluctuation (26±0 °C, 26±3 °C, 26±5 °C, 26±7 °C).

Background: The relationship between clinical pregnancy rates and embryo transfer positioning remains a matter of considerable debate, with persistent inconsistencies reported across existing studies. A notable limitation of existing studies is their failure to systematically account for anatomical variations in the endometrial cavity dimensions. The purpose of the present study was to determine the ideal location for embryo transfer according to different endometrial cavity lengths.

Background: Morphological evaluation of Day 3 embryos in vitro fertilization (IVF) is critical for selecting viable embryos for transfer but is hindered by subjectivity and variability in manual grading. Inter-observer and intra-observer inconsistencies, coupled with the limitations of two-dimensional imaging, compromise the accuracy of cell counting and uniformity assessment.
Methods: This study proposes a hybrid approach integrating deep learning and image processing techniques to enhance and standardize evaluation processes, focusing on improving accuracy in cell counting and cell uniformity assessment.

Leptin is primarily involved in energy homeostasis and has been implicated in fertility. Leptin- and leptin receptor-deficient mouse models have demonstrated that expression of leptin signalling in the central nervous system is essential for ovulation. However, evidence from ruminants and other species gathered from models with physiological leptin signalling suggests that modulation of leptin may not play a major role in the attainment of ovulation in post-pubertal individuals, despite influencing ovarian steroidogenesis and folliculogenesis.
