Objectives: Intracranial aneurysm (IA) has an insidious onset, and once ruptured, it carries high rates of mortality and disability. Cardiometabolic factors may be associated with the formation and rupture of IA. This study aims to summarize the application of Mendelian randomization (MR) methods in research on cardiometabolic factors and IA, providing insights for further elucidation of IA etiology and pathogenesis.

Background: Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome (HPS) is a rare disease characterized by excessive bleeding, oculocutaneous albinism, and pulmonary fibrosis (PF). However, few studies have systematically summarized the clinical characteristics of HPS.
Objectives: To summarize the clinical characteristics, risk factors of PF, radiological and pathological presentations, and prognostic factors in patients with HPS.

Background: Binary endpoints measured at two timepoints-such as pre- and post-treatment-are common in biomedical and healthcare research. The Generalized Bivariate Bernoulli Model (GBBM) provides a specialized framework for analyzing such bivariate binary data, allowing for formal tests of covariate-dependent associations conditional on baseline outcomes. Despite its potential utility, the GBBM remains underutilized due to the lack of direct implementation in standard statistical software.

Background: Improved cancer survival rates have highlighted second primary malignancies (SPMs), with the thyroid gland being one of the most common organs developing SPMs in cancer survivors. Second primary papillary thyroid carcinoma (2-PTC) is the predominant type, yet it remains poorly understood. This study aims to delineate the clinicopathological features and survival outcomes of 2-PTC and assess the efficacy of postoperative radioactive iodine therapy (post-RAIT) in reducing mortality risks in intermediate-risk 2-PTC patients.

Background/aims: While the clinical effectiveness of guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) is well established in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), its specific impact on cause-specific mortality remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the impact of GDMT on both cardiac and non-cardiac mortality in AMI patients.
Methods: Data of the KAMIR-NIH, a multicenter prospective registry of AMI in Korea between 2011 and 2015, were included.
