Article Abstract

This study aims to address the issue of long scan durations required by traditional graphical analysis methods, such as the Logan plot and its variant, the reversible equilibrium (RE) Logan plot, for dynamic PET imaging of tracer kinetics. We propose a relative RE Logan model that builds on the principles of the Logan plot and its variant to significantly reduce scan time without compromising the accuracy of tracer kinetics analysis. The model is supported by theoretical evidence and experimental validations, including two computer simulations and one clinical data analysis. The proposed model demonstrates a significant linear relationship between the variableand the slopeof the RE Logan plot, and the variable' and the slopeDVT'of the relative RE Logan plot. The Pearson correlation coefficients () of the linear fitting of the' to theequal 0.9849 in the simulated data and 0.9912 in the clinical data. Similarly, thevalues for the linear fitting ofDVT'toequal 0.9989 and 0.9988 in the simulated data, and 0.9954 in the clinical data. These results demonstrate the model's capability to maintain strong linear relationships and produce parametric images comparable to the traditional RE Logan plot, but with the considerable advantage of shorter scan durations. This innovation holds significant potential for enhancing the efficiency and feasibility of PET imaging in clinical settings.

Purpose: Positron emission tomography (PET) with 16α-[F]fluoro-17β-estradiol (F-FES) allows for the in vivo assessment of brain estrogen receptor (ER) expression. This study examines brain F-FES uptake to define an optimal acquisition time for static late images suitable for clinical application.

Methods: Fifty-five healthy, 40-65-year-old women at different endocrine aging stages (n = 18 premenopause, n = 18 perimenopause, and n = 19 postmenopause) underwent dynamic 90-minute F-FES PET imaging.

The rapid expansion of photovoltaic (PV) energy production has generated concern over its potential ecosystem impacts. PV arrays induce unique microenvironmental conditions by altering resource availability and substantially impacting aboveground processes. However, the belowground consequences of PV development are understudied, limiting our understanding of overall ecosystem impacts.

Two preclinical patient-derived orthotopic xenograft (PDOX) models of glioblastoma (GBM) were characterized using measures of tumor physiology. Plasma volume fraction (v), blood-to-tissue forward volumetric transfer constant (K), and interstitial volume fraction (v) were estimated via dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) MRI. Tumor blood flow (TBF) was estimated via continuous arterial spin-labeling and apparent diffusion coefficient of water (ADC) via spin-echo diffusion-weighted imaging.

Background: The synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2 A (SV2A) has been identified as a biomarker of interest for neurological pathology. The SV2A specific radiotracer [F]SynVesT-1 has shown good binding characteristics in mouse and human. The aim of this study was to characterize the binding parameters of [F]SynVesT-1 in the rat brain and investigate simplified quantification methods.
