is a common mammalian gut commensal; however, very few genomes have been sequenced, and little is understood regarding its importance for host health. Here, we add a complete sp. genome isolated from a spore-forming community in mice.

Two yeast strains, PYCC 10015 and PYCC 10016, were isolated from soil from an Irish forest. Sequence analysis of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region (ITS1-5.8S-ITS2) of the rRNA gene repeat, and the D1/D2 domain of the LSU rRNA gene, showed that they belong to the and genera of the order , but they did not exactly match any known species.

Ethnic fermented foods represent a significant repository for discovering novel probiotic entities. These fermented foods, entrenched in indigenous practices, have conserved a distinct microbiota through generations. Exploration of these fermented foods could yield microbial consortia capable of transforming human health.

We systematically evaluated the DNA adsorption and desorption efficiencies of several nanoparticles. Among them, titanium dioxide (TiO₂) nanoparticles (NPs), aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) NPs, and zinc oxide (ZnO) NPs exhibited strong DNA-binding capacities under mild conditions. However, phosphate-mediated DNA displacement efficiencies varied considerably, with only TiO₂ NPs showing consistently superior performance.

Fungal endophytes and epiphytes associated with plant leaves can play important ecological roles through the production of specialized metabolites encoded by biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs). However, their functional capacity, especially in crops like lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.), remains poorly understood.

Plasmids are fundamental to molecular biology and biotechnology, playing a crucial role in bacterial evolution. Some plasmids are linked to complex cellular dynamics, including pathogenicity islands, antibiotic resistance, and gene mobilization. This study reports the isolation and sequencing of two cryptic plasmids with different electrophoretic mobilities from the Escherichia coli clinical isolate O55.
