Ki67 is a broadly available biomarker of proliferation with various approaches to its evaluation in breast cancer. The International Ki67 in Breast Cancer Working Group (IKWG) recommends calculating Ki67 globally across the tumor area, as this method offers high interobserver concordance. These recommendations have been integrated into many international breast cancer guidelines (ASCO, ESMO), yet there is no real-world data on if it improved inter-pathologists and inter-laboratory variability.

Background: This study applied the six sigma model to evaluate plasma protein testing performance in six laboratories, with customized quality control programs and targeted improvements introduced where necessary.
Methods: Internal quality control (IQC) and external quality assessment (EQA) data for plasma proteins were gathered from six laboratories. Sigma values for each analyte were determined based on the coefficient of variation (CV), bias, and total allowable error (TEa).

Available data on the potential use of thrombin generation (TG) assays in clinical practice is promising but larger studies involving several centers are needed to confirm this added-value for clinical purposes. The objective of this evaluation was to assess the analytical performances of the ST Genesia using STG-ThromboScreen, STG-BleedScreen, and STG-DrugScreen reagents across three centers to support its use in multicenter studies. Repeatability and reproducibility have been evaluated using commercial plasmas and quality control (QC) samples.

Objectives: China is promoting the mutual recognition of clinical laboratory test results to reduce redundant testing, provide more convenient medical services, and lower economic burdens. This study aimed to enhance the consistency of test results across laboratories using a linear transformation method, focusing on five representative biochemical parameters: ALP, CA, TBIL, TC, and TG.
Methods: Five ISO 15189 accredited laboratories participated in this study.
