Eutectic electrolytes show potential beyond conventional low-concentration electrolytes (LCEs) in zinc (Zn)-ion capacitors (ZICs) yet suffer from high viscosity and sluggish kinetics. Herein, we originally propose a universal theory of intrinsically decoupling to address these issues, producing a novel electrolyte termed "quasi-eutectic" electrolyte (quasi-EE). Joint experimental and theoretical analyses confirm its unique solution coordination structure doped with near-LCE domains. This enables the quasi-EE well inherit the advanced properties at deep-eutectic states while provide facilitated kinetics as well as lower energy barriers via a vehicle/hopping-hybridized charge transfer mechanism. Consequently, a homogeneous electroplating pattern with much enhanced Sand's time is achieved on the Zn surface, followed by a twofold prolonged service-life with drastically reduced concentration polarization. More encouragingly, the quasi-EE also delivers increased capacitance output in ZICs, which is elevated by 12.4 %-144.6 % compared to that before decoupling. Furthermore, the pouch cell with a cathodic mass loading of 36.6 mg cm maintains competitive cycling performances over 600 cycles, far exceeding other Zn-based counterparts. This work offers fresh insights into eutectic decoupling and beyond.

Magnetic-field enhancement of the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) represents a promising route toward more efficient alkaline water electrolyzers, yet its origin remains debated due to overlapping effects of mass transport and reaction kinetics. Here, we present a general experimental strategy that employs strong forced convection to suppress uncontrolled transport arising from natural diffusion and magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flows. Using polycrystalline Au electrodes, we show that this approach resolves subtle OER variations under controlled flow and field conditions.

Accurate and robust calibration of multifocal plenoptic cameras is essential for high-precision 3D light field reconstruction. In this work, we propose a blur feature-guided cascaded calibration for the plenoptic camera. First, white images at different aperture values are used to estimate the high-confidence center point and radius of micro-images, and the defocus theory is used to estimate the initial values of the intrinsic parameters.

Exciton-to-trion conversion in two-dimensional semiconductors defines the transition from an optoelectronics based on neutral bosons to one based on charged fermions, with a huge impact on the transport and spin/valley-related properties. This process has been successfully induced in field-effect transistors under gate voltage, chemically doped samples, and nonuniformly nanoscale-strained materials. Here, we study the evolution of the photoluminescence spectrum of monolayer WS under high pressure, decoupling exciton and trion contributions by their responses to laser-power variations.

Composite polymer electrolytes (CPEs) enhanced with ionic liquids (ILs) are promising candidates for next-generation solid-state lithium metal batteries, offering advantages in interfacial compatibility and processability. However, their application across a broad temperature range has been hindered by a fundamental trade-off between mechanical robustness and ionic conductivity. To overcome this limitation, the study designs an innovative poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO)-based CPE architecture to decouple these properties.

Redox-responsive fluorescence regulation at heterointerfaces remains a critically underdeveloped yet strategically significant domain in advanced chemical sensing. Herein, we present an exciton modulation strategy enabled by heterojunction engineering between electron-rich CdSe quantum dots and an electron-deficient covalent triazine framework (CTF). This type-I CdSe@CTF heterostructure achieves nanoscale electronic decoupling and directional charge redistribution, unveiling a previously unreported fluorescence-switching mechanism governed by redox-triggered interfacial reconfiguration.
