Water incorporated with supramolecular building blocks in organic solvents can play a key role in the circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) inversion and amplification of supramolecular assemblies. Herein, we demonstrate that fine-tuning the water content regulated the assembly structure evolution and made the circular dichroism and CPL sign of the system undergo intriguing inversion, reinversion, and amplification processes based on a unique and interesting glutamide-cyanostilbene system, as supported by morphology, spectroscopic observations, and time-dependent density functional theory calculation.

Purpose: To introduce Double Inversion Recovery (DIR) preparations for myocardial Arterial Spin Labeling (myoASL) for mitigation of heart rate (HR) variability induced physiological noise (PN).
Methods: DIR-labeling was implemented for double ECG-gated myoASL-sequences and compared with conventional Flow-sensitive Alternating Inversion Recovery (FAIR) labeling using single inversions. In DIR-preparations, the FAIR-inversion pulses were immediately followed by an identical reinversion pulse, applied either slice-selectively or nonselectively.

Purpose: Retraction of the hepatic left lateral segment (HLLS) is a crucial maneuver for surgical field exposure during laparoscopic gastrectomy with systematic lymphadenectomy. Though various methods of retraction are available, there is no perfect solution. Here, we report the results of our initial 42 cases with HLLS inversion method and discuss the feasibility, safety, effectiveness and technical aspects of this method.

Saccharomyces genomes are highly collinear and show relatively little structural variation, both within and between species of this yeast genus. We investigated the only common inversion polymorphism known in S. cerevisiae, which affects a 24-kb 'flip/flop' region containing 15 genes near the centromere of chromosome XIV.
