Importance: Long COVID (ie, post-COVID-19 condition) is a substantial public health concern, and its association with health-related social needs, such as food insecurity, remains poorly understood. Identifying modifiable risk factors like food insecurity and interventions like food assistance programs is critical for reducing the health burden of long COVID.
Objective: To investigate the association of food insecurity with long COVID and to assess the modifying factors of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participation and employment status.

Importance: Caregivers of community-dwelling older adults play a protective role in emergency department (ED) care transitions. When the demands of caregiving result in caregiver burden, ED returns can ensue.
Objective: To develop models describing whether caregiver burden is associated with ED revisits and hospital admissions up to 30 days after discharge from an initial ED visit.

The COVID-19 pandemic significantly worsened mental health (MH) challenges among young people. We aimed to assess changes in mental health-related outpatient care before and after the onset of the pandemic. In this nationwide cross-sectional study, we retrieved visits to general practitioners (GP) resulting in the coding of a MH disorder and/or the prescribing of any psychotropic medication for children aged 6 to 17 years, from January 1, 2016 to May 31, 2022 in France.

Objectives: The escalating global incidence of obesity, cardiometabolic disease and sarcopenia necessitates reliable body composition measurement tools. MRI-based assessment is the gold standard, with utility in both clinical and drug trial settings. This study aims to validate a new automated volumetric MRI method by comparing with manual ground truth, prior volumetric measurements, and against a new method for semi-automated single-slice area measurements.

Concerns over the mental health among young people have been increasing recently. We aimed to estimate the burdens of mental disorders, substance use disorders (SUDs), and self-harm at global, regional and national levels among adolescents and young adults aged 10-24 years from 1990 to 2021. Incidence, prevalence, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) of mental disorders, SUDs, and self-harm among young people were examined by age, sex, region, and country/territory.
