Article Abstract

We compared dynamic trajectory radiotherapy (DTRT) to state-of-the-art volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) for 46 head and neck cancer cases. DTRT had lower dose to salivary glands and swallowing structure, resulting in lower predicted xerostomia and dysphagia compared to VMAT. DTRT is deliverable on C-arm linacs with high dosimetric accuracy.

As a critical component in hydropower systems, the Hydraulic Turbine Regulation System (HTRS) exhibits strong coupling characteristics that impose substantial challenges on control system design, necessitating the development of high-performance control strategies. To address the complex control requirements, this paper proposes an improved T-S fuzzy modeling method based on the Luenberger observer theory. It constructs a system model that combines high accuracy and simplicity.

Early-branching eukaryotes are associated with the early branching events during eukaryogenesis. Understanding their genomic diversity and evolution can provide insights into the origin and speciation of eukaryotes. Ciliated protists (ciliates) are a group of early-branching unicellular eukaryotes with a high biodiversity, making them excellent models for evolutionary studies.

Background And Objective: To develop an end-to-end artificial intelligence solution-video-based Multi-Point Tracking Network (MPTN), for detecting and tracking atrioventricular junction (AVJ) points from cardiovascular magnetic resonance and deriving AVJ motion parameters.

Methods: The MPTN model consists of two modules: AVJ point detection and AVJ motion tracking. The detection module utilizes convolutional-based feature extraction and elastic regression to detect all candidate AVJ points.

Despite growing recognition of health as a multidimensional construct, few studies have examined how physical, psychological, and behavioral health dimensions coalesce and evolve across the transition from young to middle adulthood, especially within the context of life-course adversities. Existing research often focuses on isolated health indicators or overlooks the dynamic, fluid nature of health over time. Additionally, the combined effects of childhood and adulthood adversities on health transitions remain underexplored.

Moraxella catarrhalis is a Gram-negative diplococcus bacterium and a common respiratory pathogen, implicated in 15-20% of otitis media (OM) cases in children and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults. The rise of drug-resistant Moraxella catarrhalis has highlighted the urgent need for the potent vaccine strategies to reduce its clinical burden. Despite a mortality rate of 13%, there is no FDA-approved vaccine for this pathogen.
