Introduction: Charcot neuroarthropathy (CNO) of foot characterised by an increased bone turnover denoted by serological markers of bone resorption. However, histological characteristics of foot bones in people with CNO are not well elucidated.
Methods: The foot bone samples were collected from patients who had either surgical reconstruction or below-knee amputations for chronic CNO foot ( = 10, Group A), unsalvageable diabetic foot ulcer ( = 16, Group B), and non-diabetic healthy controls following road traffic accident ( = 16, group C).

Metastasis is a key hallmark of cancer aggressiveness, particularly in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), which lacks effective targeted therapies. Kisspeptin-1 (KISS1), a known metastasis suppressor is emerging as a potential therapeutic modulator. This study investigates the structural and regulatory interactions between and key transcription factors (TFs) involved in metastasis: SP1, CDX2, FLI1, GATA2, NMYC, and HDAC2.

Background: As climate warms, the sugars and secondary metabolites in grapes gradually become uncoupled during development, resulting in the phenomenon of overripe fruit becoming more frequent around the world, especially in some arid regions. However, the key metabolic regulations to grape overripening are still poorly understood. To address this, we conducted a multi-omics study on Cabernet Sauvignon overripe berries over two years, analyzing the non-targeted metabolome, transcriptome, and proteome, aiming to provide a theoretical basis for delayed harvest strategies based on grape quality.

Pollution by potentially toxic elements (PTEs) such as Pb and Zn threatens seaweed populations, which sustain marine coastal ecosystems. Understanding how seaweeds uptake and release these pollutants is crucial to assessing their impact. To address this, we analyzed the subcellular location of PTEs in transplanted thalli of the brown seaweed Fucus vesiculosus using nanoscale secondary ion mass spectrometry (NanoSIMS).

Cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 inhibitors have transformed hormone receptor (HR)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative metastatic breast cancer (BC) therapeutics. Ribociclib has been associated with survival gain, yet its potential cardiovascular toxicities (CVTs) remain an area of uncertainty. Our single-center study prospectively recruited adult patients in order to assess treatment-related CVT incidence and spectrum as well as decipher proteins' differential expression in affected patients by data-independent acquisition liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (DIA LC-MS/MS).
