Purpose: To identify and synthesize qualitative literature on the experiences of participants and key stakeholders in dance programs for people living with Parkinson's disease. Synthesizing the available literature can generate new insights into participant experience to inform current and future programs.
Materials And Methods: Qualitative and mixed methods studies were identified via a systematic search of six databases: CINAHL, Web of Science, Scopus, SPORTDiscus, PsycInfo, and MEDLINE. Articles were synthesized using the meta-ethnographic method developed by Noblit and Hare (1988). Key concepts across studies were related via reciprocal translation, ultimately forming a line-of-argument synthesis.
Results: 26 articles met the inclusion criteria. Four interrelated, overarching themes were developed: (1) dance communities provide peer support and insight into living with Parkinson's, (2) feeling safe, accepted, and included in the dance experience, (3) overcoming dance-based challenges contributes to sense of achievement, confidence, and connectedness, and (4) dance participation is an opportunity to re-imagine oneself.
Conclusion: Participant experience is shaped by the instructor-participant relationship, the social environment of classes, and class difficulty level. In order to support participant experience, classes should be safe, supportive, and have an appropriate challenge-skill balance. These qualities facilitate creative immersion and the potential for personal and collective change.

Purpose: The purpose was to identify how the ICECAP-A and ICECAP-O have been used with adults who have neurological health conditions.
Methods: Following the Joanna Briggs Institute framework, a scoping review was conducted, searching five databases (Scopus, CINAHL, MEDLINE, Embase, and PsycINFO). Studies were included if participants were adults (age 18+ years) with neurological health conditions, and ICECAP-A or ICECAP-O were used in the study.

Multiple system atrophy (MSA) is a progressive, adult-onset neurodegenerative disorder involving autonomic failure, cerebellar ataxia, and parkinsonism. Patients often require invasive interventions, such as gastrostomy or tracheostomy, and sudden death is common. This study aimed to elucidate patterns of invasive treatment and identify risk factors for tracheostomy or sudden death within 5 years of onset.

Shifting away from the traditional perspective on parkisonism, which focused only on the motor state of the patients, recent research proves the importance of early recognition and treatment of non-motor symptoms. Patients with parkinsonism, who suffer from various sleep disturbances, such as excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS), experience lower quality of life, a negative impact on activities of daily living, and possible exposure to life-threatening situations. Implementing the routine use of subjective and objective means of diagnosing EDS, into clinical practice, allows for a personalised management plan, in scope of efficiently decreasing disease burden for both the patient and the caregiver.

Whereas most conventional structural biology approaches offer limited resolution in living systems, deep mutational scanning can offer insight into the folding state of a protein in living cells, and we apply this method to probe concentration-dependent changes in the folding of α-synuclein in a popular yeast model of pathology.
