Objectives: To assess the demographics and clinical factors of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) patients in Saudi Arabia and compared and analyzed the differences between the patients with and without lymph node metastasis (LNM). Papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) is a common thyroid cancer and is not usually detectable clinically but found incidentally after pathologic evaluation of thyroid tissue following surgery for benign thyroid disorders. However, these tumors have a significant risk of LNM.
Methods: All PTMC patients who underwent surgery at King Abdulaziz University Hospital, King Fahad Medical City, and King Abdulaziz Medical City from 2012 to 2022 were included. The incidence rate of LNM was 9.17%. The patients' average age was 44.05. Most of the patients were female.
Results: Prevalence of LNM among PTMC patients is 9.17% (n=31). The PTMC patients showed the following significant risk factors for LNM: higher Bethesda class, type of pathology, extrathyroidal extension, extracapsular extension, lymphovascular invasion, and residual tumors in patients who had received radioactive iodine. Presence of thyroiditis, multifocality, goitrous thyroid, neural invasion, and tumor size were unrelated to the LNM in the PTMC patients.
Conclusion: Higher Bethesda class, pathology type, extrathyroidal extension, extracapsular extension, lymphovascular invasion, and RAI-treated residual tumors were strongly linked to LNM.

To observe the clinical progression of low-risk papillary thyroid microcarcinoma(LR-PTMC), analyze the influencing factors of its oncological outcomes, and explore the feasibility of active surveillance(AS) of LR-PTMC. This study adopted a prospective observational research design. A total of 85 subjects diagnosed with LR-PTMC during health checkup in Health Management Center of our hospital from March 2021 to October 2022 were enrolled as the research subjects, for at least 2 years of AS follow-up observation.

There are multiple pathologic subtypes of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC), each with distinct clinical prognoses. However, the available data on the clinicopathologic risks associated with several common PTC subtypes are controversial and require more comprehensive evaluation. Background: Rheumatic heart disease remains prevalent in low-income countries, often leading to combined severe mitral stenosis (MS) and aortic stenosis (AS). Although percutaneous transmitral commissurotomy (PTMC) is the standard treatment for severe MS with suitable anatomy, rheumatic AS is typically excluded from major transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) trials because of its noncalcific nature.
Case Summary: We present a 72-year-old woman with severe rheumatic AS and MS who underwent simultaneous PTMC and TAVI.

Background: Papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) is prone to central lymph node metastasis (CLNM), and precise preoperative identification is crucial for the establishment of surgical protocol. We aimed to develop a nomogram based on clinical and ultrasound features to predict the presence of occult CLNM in clinically lymph node-negative (cN0) PTMC patients.
Methods: We included 844 patients with cN0 PTMC admitted to The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University between January 2022 and December 2023 who underwent thyroidectomy.
