Article Abstract

This study focuses on estimating the strong coupling constants of charmed and bottom mesons, such as , , , and , in relation to light pseudoscalar and axial vector states including , , , , , and . We will utilize the framework of light-cone QCD sum rules to achieve this. By employing this methodology, we will determine the values of these coupling constants and compare them to predictions from other approaches. This comparison will enable us to evaluate the accuracy and reliability of our estimations and determine the level of agreement between various theoretical models. Ultimately, our research will enhance our understanding of the strong interactions involving charmed and bottom mesons, as well as the associated light pseudoscalar and axial vector states.

Purpose: To evaluate tilt, decentration, and axial stability of the Clareon toric intraocular lens (TIOL) (CNW0T3-9; Alcon Laboratories, Inc) over a 6-month follow-up period.

Methods: A single-center, prospective, interventional clinical trial was conducted with a study population of 130 eyes from 82 patients who received a Clareon TIOL. Tilt, decentration, and the aqueous depth were determined preoperatively and at 1 week and 6 months postoperatively using anterior segment optical coherence tomography (Casia 2; Tomey Corporation).

The title complex, [Fe(CHN)(CHN)]·3CH, possesses inversion symmetry with the iron(II) atom located on a center of symmetry. The metal atom is coordinated in a symmetric octa-hedral geometry by four pyrrole N atoms of the porphyrin ligand in the equatorial plane and two N atoms of 1-methyl-imidazole ligands in the axial sites; the complex crystallizes with three toluene solvent mol-ecules. The average Fe-N (N is a porphyrin N atom) bond length is 1.

The rising prevalence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) foodborne pathogens, particularly spp., necessitates alternative antimicrobial solutions. Phage therapy offers a promising solution against MDR Gram-negative infections; however, its clinical application is constrained by the presence of endotoxins, residual cellular debris, the risk of horizontal gene transfer by temperate phages, and an incomplete understanding of how phage structural integrity influences infectivity and enzyme function.

Background/aim: This study aimed to investigate the association between the perioperative usage of hyaluronic acid (HA)-containing artificial tears and the refractive accuracy of cataract surgery in patients with dry eye disease (DED).

Patients And Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, patients with DED who underwent cataract surgery were categorized based on their use of HA-containing artificial tears. A total of 62 eyes were assigned to the non-HA group and 54 eyes to the HA group.

Inactivity has been associated with increased bone marrow adipose tissue (BMAT) and bone loss. Artificial gravity (AG) may prevent these complications. This randomized controlled trial investigated the effectiveness of AG at 2g at the feet to prevent lumbar vertebral BMAT accumulation and bone loss.
